"Please wait in silence whilst we start to dismiss you row by row."

Theodore and Mario both buried the bottom halves of their mouths into their palms trying to stifle their laughter as they witnessed Tayo terrorise the girl sitting in front of him by flicking small rubber bands at the back of her neck. Nancy was a quiet girl who always had her head in her books and didn't have time to stoop herself down to the class-clown's level who made it his mission to annoy her throughout the last year of college. Agitated, she rubbed the back of her stinging neck with tightly pursed lips as she ignored the sniggering behind her by his stupid friends. At the end of the day, she knew she would be leaving here with an A and him with an F. When another hit her right at the back of her ear causing a sharp stinging sensation, she had had enough, turning around sharply to glare at the silly tall Nigerian boy who she had created a love/hate relationship with over the past two years due to his childish antics.

"Do you actually mind?" She spat, watching him intently with squinted eyes. She watched as a boyish grin grew on his face and he leaned closer to her so she could smell his nice cologne.

"I was trying to call you but you was airing me," he told her as if he was the innocent one.

Her eyes darted back to his friends who were still trying to contain their laughter. Lord knows why they were sat rows from each other during an exam and why she was placed in the midst of it all. It was as if her good Lord was testing her to see if she would crumble in this crucial exam but the devil was a liar and she was not going to succumb to Tayo's rubbish today of all days. However when she looked over at Theodore her anger subsided a little. She always had a little thing for him like most girls at this college. He had this carefree attitude and although he was friends with fools like Tayo, he was actually a nice person who spoke with everyone. But he had a girlfriend who he clearly adores as she was all over his twitter and Instagram page, plus she was mega pretty so Nancy could only admire her crush from afar because there was no competition.

Her eyes darted back to Tayo who was still watching her intently and her screw returned, "In case you haven't noticed, this is an exam. Of course I was airing you but that doesn't mean you need to start flicking rubber bands you childish goat."

A loud raspberry sound filled the hall as Mario couldn't hold it in any longer. He always enjoyed Nancy and Tayo's bickering. It was the highlight of their English lesson. He still remembered the first day back to college in second year when Nancy had walked into the classroom with her fresh new folder and pencil case with a smile on her face but when her eyes landed on the table at the back which sat the squad including Tayo who stared back at her, even throwing a wink in her direction, she dropped her bags dramatically throwing her arms up whilst muttering to herself in her native language as she walked straight out of the classroom.

"Ite sorry init," he reasoned with her, flashing her a smile which his previous braces had perfected. He inwardly smirked when he saw her eyes drop to his lips which he thought was his best feature and her stance changed a little. Tayo knew she liked him. He annoyed the hell out of her but he knew that good girls liked that sort of thing secretly.

"What do you want?" She sighed, no longer sending him harsh looks.

"Nothing," he shrugged. "just wanted to say hi init. How was the exam? I struggled with that third question still," he rambled on causing her anger to re-emerge.

"Silence!" The invigilator bellowed causing her to turn back around in shock. He narrowed his eyes solely on her as Tayo raised his hands in defence pointing his hand in her direction for blame. Nancy's mouth dropped as she witnessed this wanting nothing more but to scratch Tayo's out of his stupid head.
