"Eh?" Erza looked from Gray to Lucy to Azael. She was shocked by Lucy's actions. Is she Lucy? But Lucy wouldn't do this... Right?
Small tears formed in her eyes. She ran up to the group in a flash. Gray, who was freaking out by seeing Erza's tears didn't want to die just yet. He slid out of the way just in time to miss Erza. Instead, Erza ran into Lucy, where Lucy was held into a bone-crushing hug. "Lucy! Lucy! I'm glad you're back!" She cried.
Lucy, who was slowly loosing air, clawed at Erza's hand. "I...Can't...Breath...Erza!" She choked. Erza let go instantly, ashamed of herself for almost suffocating her nakama. "My bad, Lucy." She apologized. Between Erza's diamond hard Heart-Creuz Armor and her arms that could be compared to steel, it was not a very pleasant feeling.
Lucy took a few gasping breaths of air. "Don't... Do... That... Again... Okay... Erza?" Erza nodded vigorously, as if her head was being controlled by a random machine. Lucy could almost swear that her head was going to fall off!
"Yosh. Well, I should get going soon..." Lucy trailed off as she looked through the window. She started walk ing to Azazel, who was next to the door, when she felt a hand on her arm.
Lucy turned around to see Erza, fresh tears falling off her eyelashes. She held fast to Lucy's shoulder. "Wait!" She cried, "Don't go, Lucy! The guild hasn't been the same since you left! Ever since we the magic council found your body at Athos, the Valley of the Dragons, the guild changed! I don't even know if this is real! And if it is a dream, then you can come back to us one day, right? Right? Please, Lucy! Come back to the guild, to Fairy Tail!"
Lucy reached for Erza's hand. She peeled it off and let it fall helplessly at Erza's side. She smiled, "Life goes on wether you choose to move on and take a chance into the unknown, or stay behind, locked in the past, thinking about what it could've been, Erza. Gray."
Lucy walked over to Azazel. He held out his hand, and elegantly, Lucy slid her hand inside. A bright light filled the room, and bright red magical particals appeared, flowing around Azazel and Lucy, just like what happened with Natsu.
Erza held out a hand, screaming. "Wait, Lucy! You didn't answer me! Come back to Fairy Tail! Please, Lucy! Natsu hasn't been the same without you!"
Lucy froze at the mention of Natsu's name. She quickly recovered and gave a sorrowful smile. "Maybe one day, Erza. Maybe one day." Silence filled the room, besides the tears that Erza shed. Gray gritted his teeth. "Tch!"
He looked up to see that Lucy and Azazel were only a few seconds away from disappearing. He also held out a hand. But his hand was not an attempt to bring his nakama Lucy back. He held up his index finger and his thumb together in the air. Even if I can't see you, I'm always looking out for you.
Tears started to form around Lucy's eyes. She held out a hand, as if she was welcoming them back into her life. As if her hand was touching them, Erza and Gray could feel the mist of Lucy's hand on their cheek. Not about to harm them, but endearingly.
Sayonara, minna. See you later. It was as if the mist had spoken to them from Lucy's heart.
Right at the last moment, Gray cried out, "Wait, Lucy! I-" And right at that moment, Azazel and Lucy disapeared into a could of smoke.
For the rest of the day, the pain and sadness that they had caused Lucy coursed through their veins and their hearts. How could we have done that to Lucy? She was our nakama, our family, but we cast her away!

Back at Defloria, where Azazel and Lucy landed, Azazel decided to call of the ritual for the rest of the day. "Her heart must heal for the day," He thought. "I shouldn't be to hard on her." So he left Lucy to her own devices for the rest of the day.
And that's just what her heart did. She did everything like usual, she cleaned, cooked for them, took a bath. The usual, but her mind was somewhere else. Memories flashed through her mind. Meeting Natsu for the first time at Hargeon. Joining Fairy Tail. Meeting Erza and Gray. Meeting Wendy. Meeting Lisanna. Meeting everyone... Going to Edolas. Fighting the Kingdom... Then she reached the thoughts of why she was here in the first place. Getting kicked out of Team Natsu... Tears made their way into her eyes. Leaving the guild. Meeting Mizuko... Igneel, Grandine, Towa, all the other dragons. Battling Zeref and meeting Azazel here... Her thoughts led up until now.
She lied under the covers of her bed and cried to herself, words echoing in her mind. The guild hasn't been the same since you left! Natsu hasn't been the same without you! Why did these words keep echoing around her mind, she wondered as she drifted off to the sound of a light humming.
