Death paid his visit this week
But no human did he seek
Neither pet of any kind
Nor breathing life did he find.
But still tears shed from my eye
For what he took made me cry.
Warning, he declared with ire
Your batt’ry life will expire
Back up now for life is spent.
Just remains forty per cent.
All too sudden it is five;
Please, I beg you stay alive.
I’ve important docs to keep
No time I feared; death must reap.
Speed up disc drive, just one more
Percentage now only four,
Screen blanks as power is gone
Death laughs again, he has won!
