Arabella felt as if her body was floating, she couldn’t seem to move or open her eyes as she slowly drifted and drifted further and further into the darkness. She felt as if some force was pulling her, touching her, caressing her. She felt a gentle, warm, breeze flow across her skin, as she felt the silk of her nightgown moving and flapping from the gentle breeze. Warm sensations were moving through her entire body, then something she never felt before, darkness, coldness and emptiness. She was struggling for breath and found it harder and harder to breathe.
Andre stirred in his sleep, becoming restless and agitated and felt himself tossing and turning. Every time he went to reach for Arabella, she was pulled out of his reach. Her eyes were closed, she was wearing a long, silk, white nightgown that clung to her body. Again, he tried to reach her and again she drifted further away. He felt himself punch the air and kick out his left leg.
He immediately woke up, with his heart beating out of control, frightened that he might have hurt his wife from his restless slumber.
The second he opened his eyes, a feeling of dread quickly washed over him, something's wrong. He looked to his right and jumped up, panting, and looking around noticing that Arabella wasn’t in bed, sleeping next to him.
He quickly looked on the floor, making sure that in his restlessness, he didn’t harm her and toss her out of bed, but she wasn’t there. He walked into the bathroom, she wasn’t there either.
A feeling, so strong, and so painful came over him. Instantly he knew that something was wrong. He used his link to contact Arabella.
“Arabella, where are you? Come to me.”
Nothing! Andre tried it again, Nothing. A vision came into his mind about the pendant he gave her and he knew that would help bring her back to him. Andre did his best to concentrate but couldn’t feel anything to even attempt to pull her back.
As he concentrated it became clear that someone was using magic and blocking him from her. He needed to break through and pull her back to his waiting arms.
He closed his eyes and pulled everything he had to get his beautiful wife, safely back to him. He concentrated, envisioned, and drew her with his mind. Finally, he heard her, smelt her, and within an instant he felt her connection and also felt magic that was being used on his wife.
Andre growled and felt that someone was touching his wife in places that belonged to him and him alone. He pictured the pendant on her neck and summoned her to him and instantly she was back, safe and sound in his arms.
“Arabella! Arabella! Open your eyes.”
Andre brought his lips to hers and focusing on breaking the spell someone cast on her.
Arabella instantly went limp in his arms and was back to being asleep. He placed her on the bed and slowly started kissing her to wake her up.
She opened her eyes and smiled.
Andre looked at her, “Can you tell me what you were dreaming about or where you were?”
“What are you talking about?”
“Arabella, you were missing from our bed when I woke up. Where were you?”
“Mmmm, I don’t know, all I remember is darkness.”
Andre felt his blood boil and instantly put his hands on either side of Arabella’s face so he could see exactly where she was and who was behind this.
He closed his eyes and felt a million different sensations floating throughout his body and felt like he was floating on air and instantly he knew who was behind this. He pulled away from Arabella and kissed her.
“Our family should be coming here soon, we need to start preparing.”
“Okay, I’m going to take a shower, be right out.”
“I’ll take one with you, my Princess, I need to make sure you’re safe.”
Arabella smiled and walked into the bathroom and undressed, turned on the water and stepped inside the shower.
“Are you angry with me, my handsome husband?”
“No, but I’m happy to tell you that no one touched you, you were under a spell.”
“Really? But it felt incredible. I never wanted it to stop.”
“Are you
