Remember

Looking back, I understand, why you had to go.

Looking back I realize how time became so slow.

But I remember things..that you never got to know..

And I remember things...that I will not let go.

All of my life you've been my best friend.

You were amazing..and I loved you, but then...

Something started happening..something I could feel

How was I supposed to know that you would never heal?

One second, you were fine, well..that's what you said...

Till I found you laying on a hospital bed.

I knew you were hurting..

I saw it in your eyes.

And I think for the first time, I even saw you cry.

Not much time after, I had a feeling of dread...

I walked into your room..to find that you were dead...

I could feel nothing...like time stopped forever...

Cancer...that word I will never endeavor..

This happens everyday...taking lives and giving pain.

There are so many loves and lives it has slain...

So looking back I realized..why you had to go...

But I remember things...that I want you to know....

Remember that you will never be erased.

And remember that I love you more than time and space....

And I'll see you one day...when I reach that place.
