Chapter 17

When I woke in the morning Ashton was still in the bed asleep for a change, it was a little weird waking with him there, I think he'd been getting up before me so I didn't feel uncomfortable or something. His arms were tight around me making me feel safe and wanted. I smiled remembering the little girl from the dream, that was the best dream I had in years, maybe even the best dream I ever had. The little girl was so beautiful and Ashton looked at me so lovingly that it made my heart throb painfully.

I moved his arm off of me and climbed out of the bed tiptoeing to the kitchen, I was surprised how good I felt this morning actually considering I'd been drinking last night, I looked over at the clock. Holy crap it was almost lunch time! No wonder why I felt ok I'd slept through almost the whole morning. I went to the fridge pulling out sausages, bacon and eggs deciding to cook a fried breakfast for Ashton. Maybe I should invite Aaron and Peter over to say thanks for them all changing their routines for me to go out last night.

After about twenty minutes the food was nearly done so I snuck in and took Ashton's cell phone from his bedside cabinet to call Aaron, as I bent to pick it up he grabbed my hand and pulled me on top of him laughing.

"Good morning baby girl, I thought you had your own phone" he said grinning as he rolled and pinned me to the bed.

"I do, but I was going to call Aaron and invite him and Peter to lunch but I didn't think he'd appreciate a call from me as much as you. He probably wouldn't even answer if he knew it was me" I said grimacing.

He smiled and shook his head slightly. "You made lunch? Is it lunchtime?" he asked looking over at the clock still pinning me to the bed making me feel a little hot and bothered.

"Yep you lazy ass, now get out of bed, and seen as you're awake you can call Aaron" I said trying to wriggle myself free from his grip.

"I like this wake up routine, how are you doing this morning? You give me any more kids in your dream?" he asked smirking at me.

I blushed like crazy, I was hoping he wouldn't mention it today, I should have known he'd want to tease me about it. "Nope, no more stud, now can you get off me before our food burns?" I asked sarcastically.

He grinned and let me up. "Go make my food then baby momma" he said slapping my ass as I climbed off the bed.

"Don't be such a $exist pig Ashton it doesn't suit you" I said annoyed as I went back to the kitchen grabbing my dressing gown on the way past.

A couple of minutes later there was a knock at the door, "Ashton, can you get the door?" I shouted scrambling some eggs in the pan.

"Yep" he said as he walked past pulling on his t-shirt and running a hand though his messy bed hair.

"Good morning Annabelle" Peter said grinning and yawning.

"Hi, you know you didn't have to come over, you should probably be in bed right? I mean aren't you supposed to sleep during the day if you work nights?" I asked frowning as I pulled out four plates.

"Yeah I guess, I'll go back to bed later if I get tired" he said plopping down at the kitchen island.

"Want me to do anything?" Ashton asked walking up close behind me and breathing down my neck, sending ripples of desire through me.

"Can you make toast without burning it?" I asked sarcastically.

He laughed "I'll try my best" he said grabbing bread from the side and putting it in the toaster.

"So what's the occasion then Annabelle?" Aaron asked sitting next to Peter looking at me suspiciously.

"No occasion Aaron, jeez you'll have Agent Burke here thinking I'm a bitch or something" I said smirking at him.

He laughed "Right and nothing could be further from the truth" he said sarcastically.

"Hey children play nice" Ashton said grinning and buttering the toast, I grabbed four glasses and poured out orange juice before turning everything off and letting people fend for themselves.

The boys were all chatting about what the plans were for tomorrow, our first official day of college so I sort of tuned out not really interested in the stupid plans, they were all a waste of time anyway.

"Hey Annabelle, we should make this a regular Sunday thing, because man you can cook" Peter said going for his third helping of scrambled eggs and bacon.

I laughed "Sure maybe next time we'll have it at your place" I said rolling my eyes.
