"Did Sam call you?" I asked Des.

Des shook her head. Napabuntong-hininga nalang ako at napamasahe ng sentido. Dalawang araw ko ng di ma-contact si Sam. Dalawang araw na rin yung lumipas nung magkausap kami. I can still remember how hard he cried on my shoulder. And that broke my heart. Life is really so unfair even to the ones who doesn't deserve it.

"He'll be fine, Gi." Des assured me. Kahapon pa dumating si Des dito. Pero dahil sa mga nangyari, di parin sila nagkakausap ni Sam. Kakatapos ko lang ikwento kay Des yung mga nangyari kanina lang. At kakatapos nya rin lang ikwento na break na sina Aaron at Denice.

Hay. Maybe some people aren't really meant to be together even though they're meant to fall in love.

Pinapanuod ko lang si Des nung biglang nagvibrate yung phone ko. I reached and snatched it from my table and saw a message from Sam. Finally! After 10 decades. He got me so worried.

From: Sam :)

You should go talk to Nathan right now. I heard he's sick. Don't worry about me. I'll just cool down for a bit. I'll contact you.

"But, when?" I groaned. For heaven's sake. I broke his heart! You can't blame me for worrying about him.

"Hayaan mo muna syang makapag-isip." Des told me. "No, don't call him." she stopped me when I dialled Sam's number.

"But--"

"Don't. How will he move on if you don't let him be on his own?" Des smiled and squeezed my hand. "Do what he told you to do. Puntahan mo na si Nathan. Don't wait for Sam. He'll be back after a few days."

I just sighed and nodded. Then, I stared at my phone's screen. Nathan is sick. He's sick and he lives alone. What should I do? Wala sa sarili yun pag may sakit eh. Baka naman mapano sya. Puntahan ko kaya sya? Would he be glad to see me? After I broke he's heart? Maybe I should go and apologize. I should tell him the total truth.
