*Marshall POV*

I smiled softly as I closed the door after Flame Prince. Maybe he wasn't so bad after all, I just would rather be caught dead than admit that out loud.

"Hey, Marshall? Did FK leave yet?" Fi yelled from the top of the ladder.

"Yep, good riddance." I slightly chuckled to myself. "Are you almost done packing?"

"Already done," she whispered into my ear. I jumped and yelped a little. "Hehe, not so tough now, huh?"

"You shouldn't sneak up on someone like that!"

"You should be more prepared, Idiot." She sighed. "Well, as you were enjoying your talk with your new best friend, I finished my packing. The better question is did you finish yours?"

I smiled, admiring her beauty. "I'll get right to it, M'Lady." I brushed past her with a wink, chuckling as I could imagine how red her cheeks are at the moment.

"Marshall! Stop playing around!"

*Gumball POV*

I was worried about Marshall, I've known him for so many years and to think that Lukas was still after him was a horrifying thought.

"This is all my fault..." I whispered, running a hand through my hair.

I know that wasn't very royal-like, but I'm frustrated. I feel guilty for all that is happening to him right now. If I wasn't messing around with the chemicals, Marshall would've still been a vampire and he wouldn't be so limited on time.

"Gumball?"

I jumped slightly at the voice and turned around only to see Cocoa staring at me with a worried expression. "I'm sorry, my Dear. I must have not been paying attention. Is something the matter?"

"I came because we had a date planned, remember?" She tilted her head to the side.

I face-palmed mentally, silently cursing myself for forgetting the plans. "I'm so terribly sorry. I can't believe I have forgotten such a thing. I must be a terrible boyfriend."

"Don't be silly," She giggled her melodious sound, "I understand that this must not be a good time for you, but I do want to spend time with you, so I'm going to help you."

She sat down the stool beside me, smiling widely. "I don't know if you will be of any help, this is very complex stuff."

She pouted softly. "I'll prove you wrong, Mister Smarty-Pants." She swiped the files away from her and looked at each one, furrowing her brows together as if deep in thought. "Hmm.."

"I told you this wasn't easy to-"

"Have you thought that instead of merging the stabilizer with the purifying water from the water kingdom right away, you mix the water with the vampire blood and then add the stabilizer pH variable?"

I blinked, feeling my jaw hit the floor. Glob, this woman was beautiful and smart?! I mentally face-palmed, looking over her shoulder at the papers in front of her. This way was a guarantee way that doesn't involve the probability of Marshall dying. "You're right! How could I have not thought of that?"

She smirked and flicked her hair over her shoulder. "Because you over-think things."

I grinned widely, pushing away from the desk and the work. She was right, I do tend to over-think things. I seem to think way too far out of the box.

I kissed Cocoa's cheek and intertwined our fingers. Her cheeks were slightly dusted with blush. "Gumball?"

I looked into her beautiful hazel eyes and leaned my forehead onto hers. "A beautiful Princess told me that I over-think things."
