You Caught Our Eye

My cousin Riley and I, Lindsey, had always dreamed of meeting One Direction. We were always so scared though, knowing that the day we met them we had to leave them knowing we were probably never going to talk to them again. It was quite heart breaking, actually. We had finallly got two tickets to go on a one month One Direction cruise. Unfortunately we had only saved enough money to go, not to get rooms. Therefore, we didn't have a place to sleep, bummer. When we got there, it was like any other cruise. Except for one annoying thing, fangirls. Speaking for myself, I had to get away from them. It was about ehh, 8:30pm. The band was coming on at 10:00pm. So Riley and I, decided to go to the top deck, nobody went up there. We were just looking around, trying to find something to draw. It was highly impossible, nothing really caught our eye.. Sadly.

Leaning over the rail, chatting about how amazing the weather was, we heard foot steps approaching from behind. As long as it wasn't screaming fans, it didn't bother us so we didn't feel the need to turn around. We paused for a moment, not really sure what to talk about next. Then those foot steps we heard stopped, right next to me. I glanced to the right for a second. Not trying to make things awkward, I hurried and looked away. I looked at Riley and I could tell we were both thinking the same thing. We had found something that caught our eye. One of the handsome boys walked around me to stand next to Riley. I looked at Riley, and we traded small grins. Whenever we looked back at them, it was like heaven. I felt like I was melting in his beautiful green eyes. Extending his hand to me he said in his breath taking accent, "Hi, I'm Harry." I reached out to shake his hand and quietly responded, "I'm Lindsey." I looked over at Riley and all I heard was, "Hello, I'm Zayn."

I couldn't even believe what was going on, neither Riley or I could. We had come in contact with Harry and Zayn from One Direction. They asked about us drawing and how there was nothing on our papers. "Nothing's really caught our eye," we said in a low voice. Us four were only talking for a short amount of time, they soon had to leave to get ready for there concert. "We have to go get ready, maybe I'll see you around," Harry said as he brought my hand up to his lips and gently kissed it. He slowly walked away and yelled back to Zayn, "I'll be in the room, lad." Zayn looked up at Harry and nodded, then immediately looked back down to Riley. "You two will be coming to the show, right?" Riley looked up into his sparkling brown eyes, and nodded. "Well, I hope I see you there," he said as he gave her a warm goodbye hug, then walked off following Harry to their room. Riley and I were absolutely speechless. We didn't know what to think, what to do, what to say, what to feel..

We went to get our bags from the main office room where we were keeping them because we obviously didn't have a room. After we got them, we went to the nearest restroom to get ready for the concert. As we dropped our luggages off and started walking to the big stage, we could already hear the fans going crazy. "Zayn!" "Harry!" "Niall!" "Louis!" "Liam!" You could just hear the boys names being chanted from millions of miles away. It wasn't really "This amount of money for this area." It was "Whoever gets there first gets that area." So Riley and I were standing not in the front, but not in the back either. I guess we were near the right side in the middle.

They started the concert with there most famous hit, "What Makes You Beautiful". They started to sing "More Than This" walking through the crowds, strangely the fans were actually letting them walk and not attacking them. "Cause I can love you more than this, can love you more than this," as Harry sang that part he looked me straight in the eye as he was walking towards me. Then it was Niall's solo, so Harry and I were face to face. He took the microphone away from his mouth, and whispered in my ear "Wanna meet Zayn and I in that special spot after." I whispered "I'll be there." They all started walking back to the stage finishing the song. Riley and I started heading out, so we wouldn't get caught up in the big crowd of fans when it was over.

We were back in the place we met them, we had about half an hour until they would've been up there so we decided to draw in the spare time. Later, they came up behind us and asked us what we've been drawing. I leaned in closer, "Well we had finally found something that caught our eye, you." We showed them our drawings, they were outstanding. I don't think either of us had drawn something so good. They thought it was so good they asked us if we wanted to show Louis, Liam, and Niall. Who would deny that? Tell me, who? Exactly, so we took that offer, and followed them back to there room to show the boys our drawings.
