Chapter 12.

***************

He was mad at me. I knew he was, even though he tried to hide it. I couldn't help myself. I thought it'd make things easier. I knew it sounded depressing and ridiculous, but that's just how I felt. I stared down at his sleeping body, making me peaceful.

I wanted him back. I really did. I just didn't know how to do so. I've just missed him so much. I stared down at the horrid cuts on my arms and flinched. I was an idiot. Especially for letting him go like I did. I should've gone back for him. But we just kept arguing. And he didn't want to date in secret, so what was the point? It wouldn't get us anywhere.

Louis had interrupted my thoughts buy stirring a little, and then beginning to stroke the scars on my arms. "What do you want to do today?" I heard him ask. To be honest, I didn't know what I wanted to do. I was hopeless. We couldn't do much in public since we couldn't do anything without throwing ourselves onto each other.

"Why don't we go to the cinema?" Louis asked hopefully. "The cinema?" I repeated "Mhmm. You know, it's dark...secretive...and hardly anyone will be watching us..." he said, almost flirtatiously while he planted kisses up and down my neck. I laughed. Trust Louis to already be thing ahead.

"What would you like to see?" I asked softly. "Well, I was thinking maybe Spiderman. Cause y'know, you're a Spiderman geek and all..." he smirked. My eyed widened. "Come off it." I joked, nudging him slightly. He laughed, resting his head on my chest again. "So you don't have a crush on Harry anymore?" I began and he looked up, a grin on his face. My breath hitched. That pure, genuine smile. He one I hadn't seen in so long. "Yes. So he's one less problem to solve." he said brightly.

"So, erm...where are they?" I wondered aloud. "In Ireland." he replied, but it was barely audible. "And why is that?" I asked with raised eyebrows. His smile faltered a little. "Yeah, about that. I might have...kissed Harry..." he gulped, staring down. I sighed. I might have known this would happen. The amount of time they spent together.

"Is that how you knew you were over him? You didn't feel anything?" I asked, trying hard to hide the hurt. He nodded, staring into my eyes. "I didn't know what else to do. I was just desperate." he assured me. "I know." I nodded, planting a kiss on his forehead.

So, we headed off to the cinema. Once we got changed. I was a bit self-cautious with the fact that Louis watched me just in case I did anything rash. But I promised him, and myself, that I wouldn't do that again. Not ever. I winced slightly when I had just pulled my jumper on, and Louis came over to help me. He gently rolled down the sleeves, his fingertips brushing against my skin, sending shivers down my body. Smiling, he pecked my cheek and we left the flat.

As soon as we got outside, we were immediately swarmed by the press and fans. Cameras flashing everywhere. I tried hard not to hold Louis' hand as we pushed past them while they asked questions. "What is it like now that you two are just friends?"

"Do you guys have girlfriends now?"

"Will you ever get girlfriends?"

I wanted to yell at them to shut up. To stop asking us questions we didn't want to answer. What was it their business to ask us these questions? It was pointless anyway. Either way, the story would always come back to me and Louis being together.

Louis drove us to the cinema quickly. We didn't bother with disguises. None of us did. Because it meant we'd have an ego. I slipped my hand around Lou's waist only dropped it when we walked inside. We ordered our tickets and got our popcorn and we were setting in the cinema minutes later. At the back row. Which was a bit cliché really, since that's always known as the 'make-out' section. But we weren't going t do that, were we? We're good boys.

"Do you think Emma's hot?" Louis whispered as Emma Stone entered the scene. "She's all right." I shrugged half-heartedly. Louis stopped eating his popcorn and turned to face me. "You can say she's hot, you know. I'm not going get jealous." he smirked playfully. I rolled my eyes. "She's flawless." I said casually and he laughed quietly. "I agree." he whispered, nuzzling his nose into the crook of my neck.

A smile played on my lips. Who said we had to be good boys? As if reading my thoughts, Louis' head snapped and he gazed at me, a loving smile on his face. "I've missed you." he sighed. "You too." I answered. Grinning widely, he set the popcorn on the empty seat next to him and shifted his body so that he was now sitting literally on top of me, his legs on either side of mine.
