Teenage Dream

That's the trailer at the side! :)

Also! I have yet to edit this. It's one of my first drafts and it's not as well plotted. Honestly, I hadn't cared for this much but I care enough to tell you that it is WELL WRITTEN however the plot is messy  at times. I still hope you read it and give me your opinion.
xoxo

Check my other stories though, I'm almost certain one will catch your eye! x

Prologue

“Little Lena, you’ll be fine!” Seth said, hugging me. He had gotten so much taller and looked boyish that day. Of course Seth was happy for me, of course he was supportive—after all, he was my best friend. “When you get up there in Hollywood, promise you’ll get me Miss Spears’ autograph, ‘kay?” He sniffed. He was always the cutest when he cried.

I remember that day as clear as the sky. It was the last time I saw my best friend. Of course I begged Mom if he could come with us—his parent’s obviously had a say. And the answer, evidently was no.  I hugged him for the final time while Mom, Dad and Chrissie—my little sister—and I got into the other side of the terminal.

I began to cry and he hugged me tightly. “You’ll be fine, Magdalena. You’ve always been.” His grey eyes took me all in.

All the memories were bittersweet. I had gotten into Sony Records! They actually wanted me! I didn’t even stop to consider when I got the acceptance letter to the art school in nine-oh-two-one-oh. I was pretty selfish like that. But that day—all the emotions flooded through me.

“Do you remember when we were six and I told you that you were going to marry me?” I said, sniffing. Mom was already pulling me in, a disapproving gaze on her arm from my dad.

Seth nodded. “’Course I do. You’ve been holding out on me little Lena, is this a marriage proposal!” he laughed. Seth was always the charmer.

“No you idiot. Just promise me that…no matter what happens you’ll hold on to that pact—promise, whatever it is. Not necessarily having to marry me and all, I mean, we’re like fourteen.” I smiled sadly to my best friend. “I mean, you know how married people have to like…you know, till death do us part and stuff?”

“Oh.” He said, and grinned. “Okay, well Magdalena Rose St Claire, I promise to hold on to our friendship…till death do us part.” He smiled and folded me into a tight hug. I was fully aware that my tear stains were on his favourite navy-blue shirt. “Don’t worry about the shirt. It can be washed.” He whispered in my ear. “Love ya, Lena.” He said, as he pulled away and pinched my cheeks.

I hated it when he did that but this time I grinned. “Love you too, Seth.”

“Magdalena, we have to go.” Mom said, she was getting impatient. I hated to make her angry. I took a deep breath.

“See you soon, Seth.”

I didn’t turn to face my best friend—he seemed further away from me now. Even his smile was missing from his usually smug face. I resented leaving.

I despised it. But it was my only chance to get out of my shackles.
