Hi, I'm Sophie! Before I start, I want everyone to know that I share this account with my friend, Julie. In this story, my character is named Kendal. So every time it's in Kendal's P.O.V., that's me writing. Julie's character is named Elena. So every time it's in Elena's P.O.V., that's Julie writing. I hope you like our story!

Kendal's P.O.V.

"Elena! Elena! Elena! Elena!" I said, poking my sister's face. She just kept looking out the car window. "Oh Elenaaaa!!!!!!" I sang. She finally looked at me with a death glare. "Aww, that's not a happy face!" I said. She turned her head and continued looking out the window.

She takes me too seriously.

"Elena guess what?" she muttered a quiet "what?" "I LOVE WOO!!" I yelled, wrapping her up in a tight hug.

"MOM!!!" she yelled, pushing me off of her.

I gave her a dorky grin. "You know you love me too."

"I wouldn't be too sure." she said, smirking at me.

"MOM!!!" I imitated her earlier words.

"Hey!" she said, nudging me in the side. "Are we there yet?"

"Almost!" mom said.

"Do you think Grammy made cookies?" Elena asked. "

Definitely." I said

. We were on our way to our Grammy's beach house in Connecticut. We go at the same time every year just to say hi to her. The car came to a stop and I knew we had arrived.

"Let's go!" I shouted, practically pushing Elena out of the car.

"Thanks for that." she said, fixing her dirty blonde hair. I smiled at her.

"Any time."

Grammy appeared in the doorway with pink curlers in her gray hair and a big smile plastered on her face. "Well hello there!" she said, wrapping Elena and me up in a hug.

"Hi Grammy!" we said in unison.

When we pulled away, Grammy studied my hair. She picked up one of my bleach blonde curls. "Do you use curlers to do this?" she asked.

I chuckled. "No, Grammy. I use a curler."

"What in God's name is that?!"

"I'll show it to you tomorrow." I assured her. She nodded and we made our way inside.

I recognized it right away. The red/orange rug, the white leather furniture, the white walls, the big tv. Her living room has never changed. I like it though. It's nice.

We then made our way upstairs to unpack our things. Elena and I shared a room, mom's room was right next to ours, and next to that was Grammy's room.

I walked into the familiar room. Hot pink walls, two twin beds, butterfly decals with our names next to our beds, and the white fluffy rug. Everything was fitting for Elena and me.

"It's still the same." Elena said, smiling. I smiled too. This room was perfect for us.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Let's go!" I shouted, running into the water.

"Kendal, what about your sunscreen!" mom yelled.

"Have I ever burned?" I questioned.

She squinted her eyes at me and walked away. I think I won that.

While I was smiling at myself for winning an argument with mom, Elena came running from the house and tackled me in the water. I yelped as I was pulled under.

"Elena!" I shouted, laughing when we came up. She was laughing too.

"Yes?" she asked.

"You're lucky I love you." I said, laughing again.

"I know." she said.

I went underwater, grabbed Elena by the ankles, and pulled her under. I heard a muffled scream as I pulled her under. When we came up, the two of us were shivering.

"Did that seem abnormally cold to you?" Elena asked me. I nodded. Weird...it's August and the beach is still cold. I just ignored it and continued swimming with Elena.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Later that night, we had spaghetti and meatballs for dinner and roasted marshmallows and made s'mores like we usually do. I like how we keep it traditional around here. But, I guess I just love this place in general.
