If I Lose Her

Dedicated to

If I lose her part of me will die,
If I lose her to myelf I will lie.
She is the reason I am who I am today,
She is my sunshine in every way.
You taught me to be myself through and through,
And everyday you tell me I love you.
Nobody knows me like you know me,
Not even mom she can't see what you see.
You told me your fine and not to cry,
I told you I won't but you know its a lie.
I love you with all my heart,
And I dread the day we will have to part.

Written by me: Shanondoa Dardenne

This poem I write for my grandma when she was in the hospital and I was scared I was going to lose her. She is my heart. She is my kindred spirit.
