He's Getting Married But Realises He Loves You (Requested by Jujubadr)

A/N: Ash's plot idea was given to me by the fabulous requester, and I really love it. Ps that's why Ash's is longer

Ashton:

Your best friend was getting married today. And although it should be a happy day, you could tell it would be absolutely dreadful. You didn't even know if you were invited anymore! Why? Not one week ago you spotted the beautiful bride-to-be at a party, kissing someone you thought was Ashton. You were uncomfortable just at that, because, well, you never really liked her. But when you realised it wasn't Ashton she was kissing, you were more than just uncomfortable; you were absolutely furious. You decided to call Ashton as soon as you got home, "hello?" He said cheerfully. "Ash.." You hadn't even rehearsed how you were going to tell him. "Ash, I saw Layla tonight," you said slowly. "Really? She told me she was at a friend's doing last minute wedding rehearsals." He laughed. "She was at a party, Ash," you said sympathetically. "Oh, you sure it was her?" He asked. "Yes. And she was kissing another guy," you said finally, squeezing your eyes shut waiting for a response. There was an unbearable moment of silence before Ashton's voice began blaring out the speakers. "Look, Y/N, just because you don't have someone you know you want to spend the rest of your life with, doesn't mean you have to sabotage my relationship and my wedding!" He yelled before he hung up. You were in shock, you were prepared for any type of response except that. He'd never spoken to you like that before, and you never thought he would. You didn't speak to him in the week leading up to his wedding. But you got dressed and decided to go anyway. It was your best friend after all... You sat near the back, not fully wanting Ashton to see you. You sat patiently for a while before the organ started playing and everyone stood, turning back to see Layla. You couldn't stop the scowl on your face when you saw her, looking as beautiful as ever, beaming brightly as she stepped slowly down the aisle. You looked up to Ashton, expecting to see his amazing smile, but instead his lips were pressed in a straight line, with an unfamiliar pain in his eyes. Your heart dropped, what was happening? Layla was almost ascending the steps before you saw Ashton shaking his head. He said something quickly, but you couldn't make it out from the back. "Stop!" You finally heard. The organ awkwardly ceased and Layla froze in shock from the bottom step. "I can't do this," he said, walking straight down the aisle and leaving Layla absolutely mortified. You noticed Calum, his best man, trying to keep a smile off his face. When Ashton's eyes caught yours', he ran up to you and took your hand, leading you outside. He led you down the block so he could speak to you privately. When he stopped he was breathing erratically, with tears in his eyes. "I'm so sorry," he said. "Ashton, it's okay. It's okay." You hugged him in his tuxedo, and he buried his face in your hair. "I'm such an idiot for not believing you," he said through sobs. "No, don't be sorry." You tried to comfort him by rubbing his back. "Calum told me a day after you did, he saw her too. I can't believe it," he explained. "Shh," you cooed. "It'll be okay. You did it, you walked out. Did you see her face? Mortified." You laughed, trying to lighten the mood. Surprisingly, he laughed. "I love you so much," he said. "What?!" You asked, never hearing him say those words before. "What happened with Layla, when she was walking up the isle. I was debating whether I should go through with it or not, after everything. So to calm myself, I was imagining you. I was imagining you walking up the aisle to me, Y/N. And now I know that that's what I want. I love you," he said. You laughed in pure joy and relief. "I'm so glad, because I love you too," and you wrapped your arms around his neck and kissed him.

Calum:

The guy you were in love with was getting married today. With a girl he'd only known for three months! You made up some incredible excuse so you wouldn't have to go. You knew you wouldn't be able to go through the whole wedding and reception with a forced smile on your face. So you watched the clock all morning, trying to imagine when everything was happening. You imagined Calum putting on his tuxedo with a beaming smile and butterflies. You scooped another spoon of ice cream out of the tub and continued watching reality TV. You tried to imagine the bride's dress and Calum's face when he sees her walking towards him. You flopped sideways onto the couch now hugging the ice cream tub tightly. You were almost asleep before you heard your doorbell ring. You stood up and tried to wipe the few tears from your face before you got to the door. Once you opened it you found Calum doing the exact same thing. He was wiping frantically at his eyes and was trying to steady his breathing. "Calum? Calum, what's wrong? What are you doing here?" You asked, pulling him inside quickly and closing the door behind him. "I left. I couldn't do it, I was about to go to the alter but I left, I just ran out. No one knows where I am and I'm freaking out," he blabbered. "You-you ran out?" You asked in shock. "I couldn't do it, Y/N. I don't love her," he sobbed. "You have to go back and tell her," you insisted. Although you were secretly over the moon about these current events, what he did was completely crazy. "I'm afraid. Of what she will say-or do," he admitted. "Okay, well. I gue-" "I love you," he said suddenly. You turned and saw him covering his mouth. "I'm sorry. I'm just very-" "I love you too, Calum," you admitted. You noticed his shoulders relax, but his cheeks also flared bright pink. "I don't know why I thought I could be with her," he shook his head. "That's why I said I couldn't go, Cal. I couldn't watch you marry her. Because I love you more than anything," you mumbled the last part. He engulfed you in the tightest hug, with your cheek pressed against his blue tie. "What are you going to do?" You asked quietly. "I don't care. I have you."

Luke:

You were out shopping when you saw Luke's wife-to-be-in-a-few-days standing by one of your favourite stores. You despised her of course because, well, Luke was yours! In your mind at least. In reality you were only friends. You decided to go and say 'hello' to her, since you were invited to the wedding. You started walking up behind her before you heard her say, "no, I mean. I like him but I don't love him," she laughed. You froze and backed up, hiding behind the corner to eavesdrop. "He's got money, that's really all," she said with a giggle. You couldn't believe what you were hearing, so you called Luke's phone and told him to be quiet and listen. He was confused at first but obliged. He heard her say terrible things, like he was terrible in bed, had a boring personality and more. When you brought the phone back to your ear you heard him crying. "Luke?" You whispered into the phone so she wouldn't hear you. You were almost in tears yourself that you made him listen to that. "Luke!" You said again but he hung up. You ran straight to our car and drove to his house, knocking loudly on the door. "Luke, let me in!" You yelled. He opened the door and you saw what looked like a smile on his face. "Luke?" You called. "I broke up with her," he said. "Thank you. For doing what you did. For helping me realise," he continued. "Luke. You called off the wedding?" You asked in shock. "I called off everything." He stepped forward and pulled you into his chest. "You mean so much to me, Y/N," he whispered. "I love you. I thought it was as just a friend. But recently I started to feel something more." He pulled back to look at you. "I was forcing myself to go through with this, even though I loved you more than her. But just then, you helped me make up my mind." He nodded, sure of himself. "Luke," you started. He looked to you with hopeful eyes. "I love you too."

Michael:

You were watching the bride walk up the aisle in absolute resentment. It wasn't even jealousy, you just knew she wasn't the one for the groom. Why? Well, because you were, of course. Okay, maybe you were a little jealous. But mostly you just wanted what was best for Michael, because you loved him. You figured him being happy was what was best for him, and that's how he seemed with her. So you bit your tongue for months, that is, until, now. You sat down and forced yourself to be calm, but then the priest uttered those words. "If anyone can show just cause why this couple cannot lawfully be joined together in matrimony, let them speak now or forever hold their peace." You stood up. Everyone turned to you in complete shock. "I have no lawful reasons. But Michael," you turned to him shaking your head. "You know she's not the one for you." You gestured to the bride, who was staring at you with complete hatred. The entire church gasped. Your heart was beating loudly in your ears and your face was burning red. The pulse you felt in your cheeks was almost painful, but you couldn't stop yourself. "I love you Michael. Say you don't love me and I'll walk out now," you said. Everyone's heads quickly turned from you to Michael. "Y/N," he began, before the bride burst out laughing. "Oh Y/N! Sorry for scaring you everyone, this is just a little joke they put together," she waved her hand at you dismissively. "No, it isn't," Michael retorted. "She's right. You're not the one for me." The bride's mother broke down in tears. The look on her face was more disgust and shock rather than heartbreak, which only supported what you said. Michael turned to you and as cliché as it sounds, the eye contact made it feel like you were the only two in the room. "Y/N, I love you too. But you will be walking out now, because I'm taking you with me." He ran down the alter and took your hand, leading you out of the church and leaving everyone flustered in absolute shock.
