∞ Chapter 4 ∞

Lasenda stands alone in the middle of a road that leads to a huge fountain with a few boys pushing wheelbarrows around it.

"I gotta sit down this is too much to take in at once." She thinks to herself.

As she walks over she thinks about everything for a moment. "How did I get into a coma ? Ugh. Why can't I remember anything ?! This sucks. What am I even supposed to do here though ? Push wheelbarrows ? No forget that I'm not gonna be spending my 7 years here doing that. I mean I don't have a problem working though." She thinks and sees the fountain just a little ahead of her.

She runs over to the fountain and just as she was about to sit at the bench her right leg gets hit by a wheel at the front of a wheelbarrow someone was pushing and she yelps and trips onto the bench of the fountain with her knee and gravity almost pulls her head in first into the water but she grabs onto the sides of the fountain and balances herself as her head hovers over the water and she's faced to her reflection.

She sees her wavy brown hair, her light skin and her big brown eyes.

"I'm sorry," says a guys voice behind her. "I didn't mean to trip you" He says. "it was an accident." He apologizes.

"It's okay," Lasenda says taking one last look at herself before she pushes herself back up to turn around and face the boy.

As her eyes meet with his she feels her cheeks get warmer, her heart swell up and the room get darker.

He had dark brown hair and eyes like her and he looked around her age as well.

His eyes were the definition of perfect to her. The longer she stared into his eyes the more she didn't want to look away. She realizes he's staring back too. Her stomach fills with butterflies and she breaks away from their gaze and jumps off the bench. "Uh Yeah, I'm uh fine." She says. "It's okay." She nods to him as she sits on the bench straight like she wanted.

He continues staring. "Oh", he says. He then looks away. "Well I'm gonna-" He says as he grabs the wheelbarrow to start walking off again.

"Lasenda !" Valentina yells as she runs over to them and the boy looks back to Valentina as he accidentally turns the wheelbarrow and it heads straight to hit Lasenda again. In an effort to dodge the hit Lasenda leans back. But leans back too much and falls into the water screaming.

The boy bolts his look to see Lasenda falling in the water flailing her arms around trying to swim back up. "NO !" he screams and drops the wheelbarrow on the ground.

He reaches out his hand for her but is too late and Lasenda sinks into the depths of the water for there was no bottom.

Valentina runs over and screams at the boy for a second "YOU INBUSULT! WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU ?!"

She sticks her hand in the water for Lasenda to grab. It was no use, Lasenda was falling deeper and deeper but slowly.

Lasenda felt her arm being grabbed by a warm hand and she knew at that moment she was being attacked.

She knew that there had to be other people who had fallen into this fountain as well as her.

This was one of them.

She was being kicked and was being shaked around. She screamed letting out the little of air bubbles she had left. She hit the body as hard as she could to make it let go of her she made such an effort to swim back up. Her arms were flailing around and her legs were moving like a twister trying to help her upper body have more strength in making it back up to the top. She felt her body being pulled and pulled and she opened her eyes and saw a dark body pulling her somewhere bright.

She stopped fighting. She let herself go. She let it take her where she needed to go. She knew this was the end. She could barely breathe.

Just as she stopped fighting the body that grabbed her. She felt her face surface the water and warm up with heat.

She could breathe now.

She opened her eyes and saw the face of the boy she had first met minutes earlier who had caused her to fall in.

She wasn't attacked.

She was saved ..
