Chapter 7: Now they knew.

Seventh chapter guys enjoy! Its really short, but its better then nothing. Next chapter i'll make it longer.

I stood up as fast as I could before sprinting out of the cafeteria. I knew Allie could keep herself safe so I just kept running and made sure not to look back. 

ALLIE’S P.O.V

I was sitting there, picking at my mashed potatoes and listening to the cheesy talk that Joel was saying to Tessa. I was waiting for the moment he left so I could eat my food in peace, without gagging on it.

Joel and Harry may be here for some reason involving Tessa and I, but you could tell that Joel had a liking for Tessa, just by the way his eyes sparkled whenever he talked to Tessa. It could have been one of the greatest love stories, far better than ‘Romeo and Juliet’, well, if you didn’t see the fire and rage in Tessa’s expression.

Looking back at my tray, I started picking again; so much for not playing with your food. I then looked up to see Tessa staring at me with a horrid look in her eyes. What had just happened? I looked around trying to figure out why she was giving me that scared look. That’s when I saw it. Harry was in a crouched down position, on the floor, with pieces of glass behind him. I was shocked, how did I not hear glass smashing on a brick wall?

Tessa was looking hesitantly left and right to see if anyone noticed what had just occurred. Letting out a breath, she turned around ran out, leaving the boys and I in utter shock.

Great.

I kept staring at them. What was I supposed to do? Be like Harry Potter, get out a stick and say a funny spell? Sticks that magic burst out of are just plain old nonsense. Although, I guess that’s the same theory as when I fire ice everywhere.

The boys had now started staring at me, realization of what had happened only just occurring to them. They had just found out that Tessa had powers. This sealed the deal. I guess they must’ve only been here to check but now they know. They know everything.

What was going to happen now? I pushed my seat back, and without saying another word I ran the exact same direction Tessa went. I heard the thudding of footsteps right behind me. I could never out-run the boys. The Athletics Carnival and I never had a good relationship, mainly because I came last by about thirty meters every year. I would just started running and my competitors would already be close to the end.

There was only one thing I could do. I stopped.

The only way to stop them was to freeze them. Well, not technically freeze every part of them. I stood in the hallway and upon seeing me,the boys came to a stop. If this was a fight they wanted, it was a fight they got. I crossed my fingers. God I hope this works, the last time I had tried this, I froze a lamp - not water. Ten seconds of practice, don’t fail me now.

It was not going to be that easy. They would put up a fight, I knew it. Sensing they were about to do something, I ducked. A small fireball had just flown passed me.

What the hell?

I looked up to see Harry staring right at me, another small fireball hovering in his hand. He threw again at me; I kept ducking, using forward rolls and backwards rolls. I guess gymnastic had its bright sides.

Because I was distracted, I didn’t see the fireball coming my way. Luckily, when it was just a few feet away, I quickly dogged pass it. I felt it scrape the side of my face, making the side of my face sore and hot.

That was it; I had it. Before they could react, ice was flying all around them. They tried to dodge but failed miserably. In the next second,their feet were frozen to the ground. Not what I was expecting to do, but it gave me a head start to find Tessa and get the hell out of here.

I turned around before running to our dorm, hearing the boys struggling to get the ice off their feet.

It hit me just then, I had been so stupid, that’s exactly want they wanted to know. If I had powers as well.

Now they knew.
