Lasenda steps through and down the door onto a sidewalk pavement with her black converse high tops.

She looks up to see a blue sky surrounded by white clouds. But there isn't a sun .. Yet it's .. sunny.

She looks back forward and sees skyscrapers of huge tall glass buildings. She notices outhouses, farms with a few chickens running across the green cut grass. There were boys around the ages of what seemed like 13-16 pushing wheelbarrows filled with dirt around a huge fountain.

"Well," says Valentina from behind Lasenda. "Do you like it ?"

Lasenda turns around to finally face Valentina in the light instead of a dark tunnel where she could barely see her own body.

She is revealed to Valentina's messy yet shiny ginger hair. Her fish lips, her green eyes and her dress. Her pioneer dress.

"Why are you wearing a pioneer dress?" she's asks looking over it up and down.

"Well", Valentina says looking down at her dress. "I was wearing this when I went into a coma."

Lasenda looks at her, "What you can't change ?"

Valentina looks at her like it was the dumbest question ever. "No." she says. "Were stuck in the clothes we went into a coma in." She says looking around Dreamless as if she was new too. But she wasn't. "Plus," she says. "We don't have any stores or malls."

"Why ?" Lasenda asks. "Don't you know it's kinda disgusting to be wearing the exact same thing every single day ?" She says walking toward the fountain.

"Not here it isn't." Valentina explains as she accompanies Lasenda. "We don't age."

Lasenda looks at her with wide eyes. "So you mean I can look this young forever ?" She asks excited.

"Well yes and no", Valentina answers. "It depends on how long you stay here."

"Stay here ?" Lasenda stops in her steps.

"Yeah," Valentina stops as well. "Some people stay here for the ammount of years they didn't know anything yet."

"What do you mean ?" Lasenda asks.

"Well you were 7 when you were warned about coming here." Valentina explains. "Your dream."

"Yeah," Lasenda says. "So ..?"

"So.. it was 7 years before you knew anything since you were born." Valentina says.

"So your saying I might stay here for 7 years ?" Lasenda asks concerned.

"Might." Valentina emphasizes.

"Why ?!" Lasenda blurts out. "I don't want to stay here for 7 years ! I'll be 20 years old by the time I leave ! .. wait .. omg .. leave? How would I leave ? What am I even doing here ?! Is this all a dream ?!" She blabbers.

"Lasenda" Valentina makes an effort to calm her down.

"What if I wake up and die ?!"

"LASENDA !" Valentina shouts. "Damn it, SHUT UP !"

Lasenda swallows her breath and notices Valentina's eyes wide opened at her in anger.

"I'm sorry." she apologizes to Valentina.

Valentina takes a deep breath. "It's okay." She says. "Look most people stay for the ammount of years they didn't know anything. I'm just saying most, okay ? And the way you leave is waking up out of your coma. Or some people weren't meant to wake up from there comas. So they stay here forver. Or until they die here."

"Die here ? You can die here ? Aren't we just dreaming ?"

"Nightmares."

Lasenda stares.

"You can die from a nightmare. Of fear. If your body dreams of you doing something soo scary like .. Dieing. Your body could die. You could die. And your gone. Your soul disappears into heaven or whatever." She explains. "Depends on religion."

Lasenda continues staring. "Wow" is all she can say.

"Yeah," Valentina says. "This is real Lasenda. Your BODY is in a coma. But your soul is here. In dreamless."

"How would I wake up if my soul isn't in my body.?" She asks.

"That's WHY your soul is here. It left and Dreamless captures it and your here." She explains furthermore.

"Oh but-"

"Valentina, Cassidy needs you !" a little girl shouts to Valentina interrupting Lasendas question as she runs over to Valentina with big blue eyes.

"Oh" says Valentina. "I'll let you explore a little ?" She tells Lasenda. "I'll meet up with you later." She says rushing over with the little girl leaving Lasenda with her thoughts.
