Chapter 5

“You looked tired, Jacklyn, Are you alright?” Daniel looked up at my face when I opened the door and stepped to my table. See, now he repeated what  I did say to him.

“Well, thanks, I think I do good job” Didn’t look at him, I signed and dropped to my chair, unblocking my computer.

“Are you sure?”

“Yeap, a tiny trouble, anyway I can handle it” I typed my username and password to to sign in.

Daniel slowly came to coffee machine and turned to me.

“Some coffee or tea?”

“Ew, green tea, thanks. .. and sugar, please” I looked up at him with a big grin.

He smiled at me, then made me a cup. Daniel handed me my cup, taking a sip of coffee.

“Then what is the trouble?” he stood next to my table, shot me an amused look

“They think I’m better be a model than a teacher”

“Then?” He shot me a surprised look, then laughed.

“They ask me to prove?”

“Did you?”

“Yeap” I sighed

“How?”

“You know what, the student are very naughty, my way is let him out of the class, to cool his head” I looked at him.

“OH.MY.GOD. You really do that?”

“Yes,I do"

“I can’t believe you do that, you surprised me, you are full of surprises, Jacklyn”

“I have no choice” I took a sip of tea, then smiled at Daniel. He still was in shock.

“Yeah, I know I didn’t control my anger, but I think everything will be fine in the next days. What happens if I don’t set my rules to the class with a lot of suspect on me. I have to”

“Don’t stare at me like that, please” . I added and took another sip of tea.

"It is okay, Jacklyn" He shrugged and stepped to his table.

I checked out the schedule for the whole this week. The schedule was very tight. Like the students, the teachers work longer hours at the academy than at a regular public school. Then I had to prepare for their homework, and project preparation. …

Someone knocked the door….I looked up at Daniel when he called my name, then I saw Kelvin standing out there. They were talking about something I couldn’t catch. Seeing his face turing to me, why he came here and this time he was the person who wanted to see me, not the person who kept ignoring me. What his purposes were, I didn’t know. Then Daniel walked out the room and Kelvin slowly stepped forward to me.  When he reached my desk, I nervously looked around, any other teachers saw us. I was afraid that this guy would say something that made me boil my blood and couldn’t control my angriness. Dr. Claude was checking out his documents on shelter, others were on typing, writing. They tended to not pay attention to anything else, except …the books and computers.

I didn’t wait until he said to me, standing up I gazed at up, lowered my voice so that only two of us could hear.

“Kelvin, what are you doing here?”

“Hi Ms Stewart” he gazed at me with a smirk, still the handsome face that made me my heart racing.

I sighed deeply, closed my eyes and then looked up at him. Yeah, at least he knew what my position was. And that was all I wanted now, in this main department’s office.

“What can I help you, Mr Smith?” I clearly raised my voice so that other teachers thought we were talking about homework or something.

“Don’t be like that” His face kept straight than ever.

“What? What are you talking about? This is teacher’s room, remember?” I lowered my voice…

“We. need .to. talk”

I took a deep breath and didn’t look at him. What did he say?”We need to talk” with a very normal voice should be used to communicate to friends, or for a couple if he/she wants to break up with other. It was awkward when I listened to him talking that to me, there was absolutely nothing between us. What did he really want to talk?
