‘Stop worrying! We got EVERYTHING.’ Harry sighs, chuckling. I look over at him as he drums his fingers against the steering wheel as he drives. It was a rather miserable afternoon in Cheshire with rain, wind and just plain cold weather. As I packed back at home it never occurred to me that it would rain while we were on tour, and it was a rather stupid observation that I missed, because obviously it’s going to rain just about everywhere we go. Harry and I had just been out grocery shopping, and luckily for me, they had a small boutique with cute, fluffy jackets that just-so-happened to be in my size- I couldn’t pass the offer up, and so I bought one, and I was wearing it now- as  reminder, I shiver and wrap it further around my shoulders.

‘Are you cold babe?’ Harry’s words like ice in the air. His arm creeps from the steering wheel to my hand, sending more unwanted shivers through me. I was getting used to his touch- although it was still so foreign, the touch that sent sparks flying through me was getting similar.

‘A little bit.’ I admit, breathing out and watching the steam form in front of me.

‘We’re almost home.’ Harry winks as I stare up into his eyes. A smirk plays on his lips as he watches me peer up at him.

‘Home now is it?’ I cheekily say back, watching the smirk grow. I direct my gaze to the frosty road.

‘We can make it home. Like me and you. Our home.’ Harry says, and without looking, I can tell he’s serious.

‘OUR home?’ I put the emphasis on our obviously because I was curious as to where this was heading. Not so much that part of what I repeated, more the ‘me and you’ part.

‘Yes, OUR home. I like you, obviously.’ Harry says with that kind of a ‘duh’. I sigh, not wanting this to go where it was heading but I knew I’d have to face it some time, and plus, for some odd reason I was sort of warming to the idea.

‘I don’t know Harry…’ I rest my head on the cold window and watch Harry’s face. His mouth didn’t have the smirk on it anymore.

‘I never said anything forceful Brooke, to be honest, I’ve liked you since day one, if it wasn’t obvious.’ He sighs as well, and his fingers drum along the steering wheel again.

‘Yes I know, and Louis likes me too. He tried to kiss me but I-‘

‘HE WHAT, EXCUSE ME?’ Harry’s eyes widen in shock, and for a flash second his head snaps to me but he realizes he’s still driving.

‘Harry don’t worry, I stopped him. I promise. I don’t like him that way, I thought I might when I first met him, but he reminds me too much of… Ryan.’ I state.

‘Okay.’ Harry simply says, obviously pissed off. I carefully put my hand on Harry’s knee reassuringly.

‘Harry, I won’t admit this to myself yet but I think I like you too.’ The worlds came tumbling out of my mouth before I could stop them. I DID NOT LIKE HARRY EDWARD STYLES. I knew I would not like the boy because he was just another guy and he would break my heart. He was one of my close friends and you’re not allowed to fall for best friends.

But was he going to break my heart? Was he just another guy? That was the question that ran through me once again. I realized Harry had the smirk back on his lips and I roll my eyes, instantly regretting saying anything. I admit that I got shocks and butterflies when Harry touched me but I felt like it was all moving too fast. My head was spinning and my heart was pounding. I took a deep breathe to calm myself and tried to regain my posture.

‘Let’s sleep on that overnight, shall we, and we’ll decide what to do tomorrow.’ Harry says maturely, and it was thankfully what I wanted to hear. I nod.
