My heart was pounding out of my chest. I wasn't ready.

"I can't do this," I shouted out, quieting the cramped room I was in. One of my friends spoke up.

"Selena, you have to. You know how you feel about Niall," she soothed. I furrowed my eyebrows, shaking my head.

"I'm young. Why would I want to go through with something that would only tie me down?" I asked no one, covering my face.

"You told me once that ever since you met him, you said he made you feel free. What changed?" my mom asked. I was about to answer when the door burst open.

Niall's best man and brother, Greg, stared right at me.

"Selena. Niall wanted me to give this to you before the ceremony," he rushed, handing me a long, rectangular box. He hurried out of the room, and his wife, Denise, kissed him goodbye.

"You only have a few minutes," someone mumbled. I swallowed nervously, looking down at the box. I pulled it open, and inside was a necklace.

I pulled out the small card that was with it, scanning it quickly, but slowing down once I realized what it was.

Dear Selena,

This necklace represents our first date; December 21, 2012. Everyone said we would die that day, but after where we went, I found a reason to live in you.

I stared down at the necklace, pulling it out of its hold.

It was an Eiffel Tower on a small, silver chain.

We had met in Paris, and the next day we met again, so he took me out for lunch. We clicked like that, and I knew he would be some part of my life. I never guessed I would be marrying him, though.

I knew in that moment that I needed to marry Niall because I loved him with everything I had.

"I'm ready," I choked out, sliding the necklace around my neck. My mom beamed at me, and just then my dad knocked on the frame of the open door.

"Show time," he smiled, gesturing for me to come to him.

I walked down the aisle with him, feeling the necklace close to my heart and calming down.

Niall beamed at me from the altar, looking nervous just like I did. He took my hands.

"You're wearing it," he whispered. I inhaled, feeling the necklace move with my body. I nodded.

When it came time for Niall to say his vows, I tensed up.

"Selena, Selena. The first time we met was in the winter of 2012 in Paris. I was on a holiday with my family, and that's where we went. It's a funny story actually," he smirked, looking at the crowd. I groaned internally, knowing what he was about to say.

"She was riding her bike down the pavement, and I was walking back to my hotel. Who rides a bike in winter? In the snow?" Laughs erupted from the pews, and I couldn't not smile.

"She about took my head off, she was going so fast. I yelled at her to slow down when she had already passed me. The idiot she is, she turned to give me a certain finger, and her bike gave way under her due to ice. Do not try this at home, kids." I giggled to myself, remembering it clear as day.

"So, naturally, I helped her up, apologized and told her to be careful. The next day, however, we met again, the same way." I shook my head, my shoulders shaking with laughter.

"She has that side of the story, so I'll get to what I really need to say. Selena, I love you more than anything in the world. Your beauty is incomparable. Your humor is exactly what I need. You listened to me when no one else was willing to, and I will never let you go ever again. I love you." My eyes watered slightly, and I leaned over to kiss him on the cheek.

"Okay," I laughed, wiping away a stray tear. He smiled down at his shoes.

"Like he said, I've got the sequel. The next day, I ran into him again. Kind of. I ran into a pole while staring at him. I hadn't believed it was him again, so I had to look twice. He helped me up once again, and offered me some lunch. I happily accepted, and honestly the only thing on my mind was, "He's really hot."" That elicited laughter louder than anything Niall had gotten. His cheeks tinted red, and so did mine.

"But in time, we learned everything about each other; the way we eat, sleep, talk, and all of it. One time he did an impression of me, and I thought he had a tape playing behind his back.

"I love you so much, more than anything. You're the soil to my seed, the root to my tree, the stars to my constellation, the variables to my equation. The Anakin to my Padme. And I love you for that." I inhaled shakily.

The minister announced us husband and wife after a few more words, and he pulled me in for the sealing kiss faster than I could blink.

He let go and gave me a bone-crushing hug.

"I love you," he breathed. I could barely breathe as I felt the weight of his love on my heart. The cheers from the audience we had faded out.

"I love you more," I smiled, feeling so relieved that I wouldn't lose him.

"Not possible," he smirked, kissing me once more.
