'Ahhhhh! Why is there a horse in my garden?!' The suprised yells of Jade's mother woke her up, and she blinked the sleep out of her eyes, trying to come up with a good excuse as to why there was a horse in her mothers pricless garden.

'Ah, um, coming.' Said Jade, running down the stairs, two at a time. Before reaching her frantic mother she tried to brush out the dry autumn leaves that had lodged themselves into her tangly hair when she was on her rescue mission last night.

She heard the now almost familair neigh of Charity - she decided to call her that because it suited her. Carity had once been a very spoilt, loved little pony until her horrid neighbours had stolen her away form her family. Things like that make Jade so mad, who could abuse a poor innocent horse, or any animal at that?-

When she got to the dinning room, she finally saw Charity in the light. She was once a very beautiful horse, but months of neglect had changed that. The sunlight shone on her dappled grey coat. And she stretched appreciativley in the warm sun, her muscled rippling along her shoulders. She had good back legs that made Jade think that she would have been a good showjumper, maybe she had been, maybe she has won alot of ribbons and her rider would have patted her and murmered engouraging words to Charity as she took the final jump, clearing it with ease. Maybe they had gone on to be the winners in a show, and had pranced around the ring in perfect unision, rider and horse in harmony. And then maybe one day when her owner had gone to bed, dark shadows flitted across her stable door, and she shied away in fright, but the shadows came closer, and closer until they came upon her. And then maybe she woulds have woken up, and found herself in a strange pace, with strange people, not knowing where her precious owner was. Maybe, just maybe.

As she thought that tears began to snake their way down Jade's face. Why had the neighbours taken poor Charity away from her owners? Jade had to find out who Charity's real owners were.
