"It's not funny," Liam said, shooting me a flat look.
I bit my bottom lip to hold in the laughter that was building up inside of me. "Of course it isn't," I choked out, trying to sound serious. "You're right, you're right, it's not funny."
"I'm serious, Sarah!"
"So am I, Liam."
"Uh huh," he replied dubiously. "You're never serious. If you're serious, I know that the zombie apocalypse has officially begun."
"Tell me again what happened."
"But I already told you five times."
"Too bad. Just one more time."
Liam sighed in exasperation. "For the billionth time," Liam said slowly, "Logan offered me a drink that he slipped, you know, laxatives in."
"And then?"
"He, uh, also put Saran wrap over the toilet bowl," mumbled Liam.
"And?"
"And ketchup packets under the lid so when I sat down..." Liam sighed again.
I erupted into laughter, unable to hold it in anymore. "That's hilarious! I can't believe he...," I trailed off, laughing some more. "Is it just me or does it get funnier every time?"
"It's not funny!" He was obviously embarrassed; his cheeks were flushing like crazy.
"It totally is!"
"Can you just help me? Please?" Liam begged. Like always, he had no idea how to get revenge on his brother, so he decided to call in the master to teach him how it's done-me. And like always, I agreed to help him, but mostly because I had a shitload of ideas I wanted to try out. I read about a whole bunch of pranks on the internet a few days ago-just in case-and I thought that Logan would be the perfect guinea pig to test them out on.
"Yeah, yeah, yeah, I'll help you. What kind of friend would I be if I didn't?"
"A bad one?"
"Exactly."
"So... How are we going to prank him?" Liam queried.
"Don't worry; I've got a lot of ideas. Now, I'm going to have to ask you a few simple questions."
"I feel like I'm getting arrested..."
"Where were you between the hours of eight and ten when the murder happened?" I joked. "Ha, just kidding."
"Very funny. Now hurry up, I don't know what time Logan's going to come home," Liam said nervously.
"Calm down, we've got plenty of time," I replied calmly, knowing why Liam was so anxious. If there was one thing you do not want to happen while setting up a prank, it was having the victim walk in on you, especially if the victim was Logan. Logan believes that revenge is a dish best served cold-when you least expect it.
"How about we just do a bunch of little pranks?" Liam suggested. He relaxed a bit and was grinning slightly. "It'll annoy him so badly."
"Now that's what I like to hear," I said, returning the grin. "Let's get started, we have a lot of work to do. First things first: does Logan blow dry his hair?"
"Yeah... Why?"
"You'll see. Go get some flour from the kitchen and I'll meet you upstairs in Logan's bathroom."
"Alright, I'm on it." Liam hastened to the kitchen while I hurried upstairs to the bathroom. The good thing about the Nichols' house was that Liam and Logan both have their own bathrooms connected to their bedrooms so they don't have to share one. There's more privacy, and it's great because if we ruin Logan's bathroom, Liam still has his own.
I quickly took Logan's blow-dryer out from one of the drawers in the bathroom and waited for Liam to come upstairs with the flour. I remembered the last time-which was also the only time- I used this blow-dryer. Madison and I came over to Logan's place to help him bake a cake for Liam's birthday. Long story short, we had this awesome food fight and Logan threw a carton of eggs at me, so I had to shower here. It was weird because I thought Logan was going to do something perverted like barge in and insist we shower together or something like that. One of the downsides of having a perverted guy best friend: freaking out when you shower at their place. He didn't, though, which was good.
"Okay, I got it!" Liam rushed into the bathroom, almost knocking me over in the process, and handed me a sack of flour. Luckily, it was just a small sack and not one of those giant, heavy ones, so it was much easier to work with. Haha, that's what she said! "What do we do now?" Liam asked.
