If you could go back in time and fix things, wouldn’t the world be absolutely marvelous? If you could go back and make things right, change your actions, maybe make better decisions, wouldn’t that just fix all of your problems? If the world had an undo button, everyone’s lives would be perfect.

But the sad truth is that life doesn’t have an undo button. There is no going back, no reversing what has happened. The past remains the past, no matter how haunting it is or how badly you wish to change it.

Sure, you can cover it up. You can bury it deep, so deep that it’s almost forgotten. But no matter how far away you push it, it remains there. Always there. Biding its time before catching up with you and burying you. Alive.

Three girls in the small, chic suburb of Hampton Falls, New Hampshire know exactly what that feels like. They know how awful it is, how the guilt eats you up on the inside, how it feels to try to escape the pain that consumes you. How the feeling becomes forever a part of you because of one single mistake.

But what’s done is done. Whether it was good…or bad. Or terrifyingly horrible.
