Anyway, I want to say THANK YOU to all the readers who have patiently waited and posted me very cool, supportive comments about my annoying mind block. The Readers Best EVER!!!! Hopefully it wont be very long til my next upload – but I have to update my other much neglected stories too. )
I exhaled a breath I hadn’t even known I was holding, my while body seemed to relax and uncoil, feeling like I had submerged aching muscles into a warm, relaxing bath.
‘You’re my best friend and I don’t think I would make sense without you’.
Then Marissa’s mum knocked on the door softly, then I heard the door open and I kept my eyes closed, smiling to myself. “ Isabel, dear. There’s someone downstairs for you.” She said quietly and my eyes snapped open.
“ There’s someone at the door for me?” I asked, looking back at Marissa who sat on the bed with her cereal and shrugged in confusion. She bit down on her captain crunch, making a resounding cracking across the expectant silence in the room.
I felt my stomach knot, dropping like a ton of bricks.
What if it was Taylor?
I took a deep breath and tried to convince myself it wouldn’t be her.
How would she have found me?
What would she even come back for?
Act 1 scene 2 of Crazy Psychotic Pop Star Run Wild?
“ Yes sweetheart, she’s quite insistent that you see her.” Marissa’s mum said, holding the door open.
It wasn’t Ari?
What the hell?
Who else knows that I’m here?
“ It’s a she?” Marissa burst out, echoing my thoughts perfectly. “ It’s not Ari?” she practically shouted.
Her mum shot her a scolding look at her loud voice,“ Yes, sweetheart, and she looks very pleasant, if I do say so myself. She seemed very polite and perfectly harmless. She’s even wearing this seasons Chanel Bag.” She finished, in the admiring tone that only women like Marissa’s mum, who practically live in tastefully expensive Chanel bags and pantsuits say.
Because obviously owning something from this seasons Chanel line made her trusts worthy.
For a second, I seriously doubted the security of me staying at Marissa’s.
“ Oh, ok. Uh she doesn’t have scary bleached blonde hair, a killer glare and wielding a half spilt wine glass is she?” I asked, trying to make for humorous description of Taylor Cutter.
Marissa mum looked confused, “ no, why?”
“ Don’t worry about it mum” Marissa said from behind me.
In response she sighed and rolled her eyes, muttering “ I honestly cannot keep up with you two’s weird jokes these days” as she turned away from the door, her perfectly straightened hair flicking and we heard her footsteps pad down the stairs softly before she called, “ Don’t be rude and keep her waiting, girls.”
“ What the heck? None but my family knows I’m here.” I turned to Marissa who shrugged, in response.
“ Well, well. You, little platypus, seem to have a new stalker.” She said contorting her face into a funny expression as she crossed her eyes.
I chuckled at her odd animal reference, “ Yeah, well I better go see her, I guess. Will you stay on the stairs and listen?” I asked as I stood up of the bed and smoothed down my jean skirt.
Marissa rolled forward on the bed in an tumble of pyjamas and longhair before she landed ungracefully at the edge of the bed and stood grinning, “ Duh, I was going to do that anyway”
