“No I won’t do it Brayden it could kill you.” I argued.

“I want to do it.” He stated.

“No.” I said firmly.

“Please do this for me? I won’t be able to stay sane if anything happens to you.” The look in his eyes made me break.

“Fine but if anything happens to you I will never be able to forgive myself.” I said sadly.

Every bit of that statement was true. Everything rests on me now and it’s up to me protect everyone. I am under so much pressure to get this right. I hardly think I am qualified to be doing this. Sometimes I wonder if they made a mistake in their prediction. I am not a warrior and can’t picture myself that way. If this goes wrong then I will have lost everything.

“Nothing will I believe in you.” Brayden comforted.

“That’s not helping you know. If anything that just puts more pressure on me. What if I can’t do this? What if a mistake was made?” I said worried.

“There wasn’t, it will happen all as predicted.” He said confidently.

Yes it was predicted but I can’t help but doubt. Isn’t it a possibility this could all be wrong? In my book all things are possible. I closed my eyes and took in a deep breath to calm myself. If I can’t believe in myself than how can anyone else.

“Your right I’m just over reacting.” I fake smiled.

“I know you don’t think so but I’ll take what I can get. Now come on and let’s finish this.” He smiled back.

Well at least I know I know I’m not a very good liar. That or either Brayden could read me easily. It’s probably a little bit of both. Brayden walked over to the table he has set up. There lay stones and some rope. I gave Brayden a questioning look but he just smiled and picked up a stone.

“What am I going to be doing now?” I laughed.

Brayden held out his hand the stone was in and placed it in front of me. I started to pick up the stone but saw Brayden shaking his head in objection. I pulled my hand back and looked at him strangely.

“Move this without moving your hands.” He ordered.

“Umm how?”

“Figure it out for yourself.” He hinted.

Ok I guess that means I have you use my power but how? I focused my eyes one the rock but nothing happened. I wanted another minute and still nothing happened. I closed my eyes and focused before opening my eyes and trying again. This time it started to move a bit but stopped quickly. How am I supposed to do this? With my annoyance growing I tried again. Still nothing I sighed. This time I was getting mad. I am going to do it this time. I stared angrily at the stone before it went flying through the air. I stared after it in shock.

“You’re finding out that your strengths are driven from anger.” Brayden stated. “Things only happen depending on how bad you want them to.”

“Again” I said.

Brayden grabbed another stone and placed it in front of me. This time I made it fly out of his hand in seconds. Then I did the same thing to another, then another and another one after that. I was starting to feel good about this whole this again.

“Not try aiming it at those cutouts in the field.” He said pointing to them.

Well this is where my confidence goes back down again. I lifted another rock focusing on where I wanted to go. This time without fail it hit the thing I wanted it to. I can’t believe it happened on the first try. I did it over and over again until I was sure I had it down.

“Ok good now I want you to take this rope and wrap it around the figures neck. I want you to squeeze it with all your might.” He said throwing the rope in mid air.

I took control of it before it hit the ground. I got it around the neck of the figure but I wasn’t sure how to tighten it. I pulled the ends of the rope in opposite directions until I seen it finally tightened. I pulled and pulled until the cardboard head snapped off. I smiled to myself.

“Now one you are able to do that about ten times tighter than that you may just behead a vampire.” He joked. I laughed with him, yeah like I could behead a vampire.

“So what’s next?” I asked.

“Rest, you have done enough today. There is no need to wear yourself out.” Brayden said throwing an arm around me.

“But the battle. I have to be ready.” I argued.
