Chapter 1 - Letters From Anonymous

Neola's POV

The sound of the my red alarm clock was blaring into my ears. I groaned and smacked the alarm clock, killing that annoying sound. Just then, my cell phone rang and my "We Found Love" ringtone started playing.

My best friend Chelsea answered the phone on the other line and yelled "Are you up yet?"

"I am now," I mumbled.

"I'll be there in half an hour. See you later hun," she replied back quickly. Chelsea put down the phone before I even had the chance to respond.

I tried to do everything in fast motion so I'll be ready before even Chelsea got here. I finally settled on a pair of dark blue skinny jeans, a pretty blue shirt, and black flats. I decided to keep my red naturally straight hair down and add some heart earrings. It was nothing too special but just simple.

Chelsea pulled up in school's parking lot with her 2010 Nissan Dark Blue car that she had recieved for her birthday. I have to say that I'm slight jealous of her. She was just absolutely stunning with her beautiful blond hair and baby blue color. Sometimes when I'm with her, I feel so out of place. I just had long boring brown straight hair & blue eyes.

Chelsea snapped me out of my thoughts and said, "Look, here comes Zayn and Liam."

As soon as Liam's name left her mouth, she started blushing slightly. I smiled at the sight of them. Chelsea had a crush on Liam until recently. I didn't know if he liked her because he had a girlfriend for a while now.

I always thought Liam and Zayn were good looking but I didn't like them in that way.  They were both good friends with us. Chelsea was always saying how she thought Zayn & I were the perfect couple. I didn't really understand how she thought that.

"Hey girls. Did one of you do the French Homework?" Zayn questioned.

"Oui," I answered.

"Sweet. Can I please copy down from you?"

"Sure thing. What made you too busy to do your homework?" I teased.

"I was just too lazy. I didn't feel like doing it. Besides, I had better things to do." He answered laughing. I smiled back at him and shook my head slightly.

"Like sleeping?"

"You caught me," he grinned.

I opened my locker to get my things for class while Chelsea was chatting it up with Liam and Zayn. I soon discovered a folded piece of blue paper and I picked it off my English book. The letter read :

Neola,

you brighten up my day just seeing you. I love looking at your beautiful smile. This may sound cheesy but it makes me give butterflies inside everytime.

Am I actually reading these words properly?

I waited for Chelsea to finish speaking before I told her about the news.

"Hey guys, I just saw this letter in my locker and ----- "

Chelsea snatched it out my hands to get a better look. She read the letter aloud and started squealing.

"Omg! It looks like you got a secret admirer!" screamed Chelsea. People started giving her looks but I guess she didn't care.

"This is your chance to find love," she said happily. Liam and Zayn started chuckling.
