School today – Also Cordell’s birthday!

It’s been two weeks since that day I stayed at Cordell’s house. Michelle didn’t mention anything to me yet. I’m still waiting. I mean she’s probably not but still it concerns me about my best friend. I know Cordell knows something because he and Jarsdell have been having these little conversations! I shook my thoughts out and finished getting ready. Today I’m wearing jeans with Uggs and long sleeve shirt nothing cute today. I let my hair down and grabbed my stuff going downstairs. I ate quickly and my mom smiled “Why you in a rush?” I sighed and said “Because it’s Cordell’s birthday and I have a special surprise!” I looked at my phone and he should be on his way to school. I had baked a cake for him last night and even recorded a video of me dancing to Motivation! He’s going to love it! I grabbed the cake and gift bag and said “Bye you guys!” I waved and ran out the house.

When I reached school I got out and grabbed all my stuff. I was about to drop everything but Michelle was walking towards me. “Oh good timing you need help?” I nodded and handed her my bags. “Michelle why are you acting different?” she smiled and said “I’m fine Symone. Let’s go inside.” I nodded and we went inside. “I swear you gay telling me you gonna give me birthday licks and winking!” I heard Cordell say. I chuckled to myself and he turned around. “Oh what’s up baby girl?” he said smiling. I dropped my stuff resting the cake on the table. I wrapped my hands around him and said “Happy Birthday Baby!” I pecked him and he smiled. “Thank you so much.” I handed him the cake and gift bag which contains the video, a watch and Hollister cologne. My baby had to be swagged out. He opened up the cake box and said “Boy am I going to tear this up in class!” he kissed my nose and looked at the bag. “Boy oh boy a nigga is spoiled today Hollister, a watch, and a cd. What on this cd Symone?” he asked me smiling. I tapped his nose and said “watch it when you get home!” he nodded and said “Right you already know!” I smiled and Michelle and Jarsdell were giving each other glares. Cordell swallowed and said “Um the bell about to ring I’ll see you later alright babe. Thanks for the presents again. I love you!” I smiled and hugged him and kissed him. I released from him and gathered my bags and looked at Michelle “I’m going to class I’ll just meet you there.” She nodded and I walked off.

I got to class and Issa was sitting down sleeping. I sighed and rested my stuff to the side. “Issa boo wake up!” I said snickering. He slowly opened his eyes and said “What do you want Symone I’m sleeping!” I smiled and said “Well class is going to start soon. Get up! You going to that party tomorrow?” I asked. He shook his head and said “I’m not sure are you?” I shrugged and said “I heard it’s going to be lame. But we will see.” he nodded and Michelle came in. I looked at here and focused all my attention to her. “Michelle can I talk to you?” she looked at me and said “Um sure.” I smiled and said “Don’t worry not now, after school I’m taking you out for lattes so be at my car!” she nodded and said “Okay” I smiled and turned around listened to the teacher talk about babies. That project was just so ugh! I could have killed that baby! My mama wouldn’t even help me! When class was over I got up and Michelle didn’t even say nothing to me. Are you serious? I sighed frustrated and walked to my next class. Jacquees wasn’t there today so I’m by myself. Great! Tyler doesn’t talk to me since Cordell scared him off. I’m not lucky with guys but with Cordell it’s like I’m the luckiest! I sighed and actually listened and took notes. “So class what are the elements in this?” my teacher asked. I raised my hand and said “In the first one you have iodine, zinc and the second one you have just sulfur.” He nodded and said “Perfect, now when this test comes you will actually do well.” I looked at him offended and said “When have I not done “well”?” he sighed and said “When you are cutting up with Jacquees.” I rolled my eyes and said “but do you want to see the last test grade because I recall doing ‘Well’ on that test. Just because I talk to Jacquees in your class doesn’t mean I’m not smart. Is it because I’m black?” I said that last part just to see what he will say. “Um Symone I didn’t not say nothing about you black. I apologize about even bringing it up. I was just trying to say that you actually participate when Jacquees isn’t here.” I rolled my eyes and said “Good because I don’t think my father would like hearing you say that about his child.” He sighed and said “Okay anyways class please come get your worksheets and homework is on the board.” I nodded feeling satisfied and got up getting my worksheet. I sat down and all these people look at me like I’m ghetto. No! I’m not! I wrote down my assignment and packed up waiting for the bell. As soon as the bell rang I ran out the class room going to lunch. I sat down not hungry yet and Jarsdell sat down. “Dang I’m freaking pissed!” he said. I looked up at him and said “Well what’s going on?” he kissed his teeth and said “Michelle! Here I am thinking you were the good best friend that will help her but you’re not evening telling her nothing good.” I looked confused and he said “So you don’t know what’s up?” I shook my head and said “Nope not even a clue and your rambling on to me like I know. I wish I knew what is up with my own best friend but she’s blocking me out.” He kissed his teeth and said “Now she lying, she told me you knew and told her to a-. Forget it!” he was about to blurt it out. I want to know what happen! “Cordell know what’s up why he aint tell you?” I shrugged and said “Oh I don’t know.” I was clueless right now. “You see she does this stupid ish and then come calling me. I aint playing with her! It’s pissing me off badly.” I just sat there listening to him. Finally Cordell came to the table and said “Jarsdell man, your girl in the office crying. Go check on her.” I looked up and said “I’ll go talk to her.” Cordell shook his head and said “No Jarsdell really needs to go check it out.” They gave a look and Jarsdell said “Oh alright I will.” He got up leaving and I looked at Cordell. “Okay I’m starting to think you are lying to me and you know something. Spit it out!” he shook his head and said “It’s not my place to tell you.” He handed me a lunch tray and we ate by ourselves. “I can’t wait to go home and watch that cd!” I nodded and said “I know you can’t! You will love me forever! Today in class we talked about babies. Can you see me pregnant?” he chuckled and said “No you too little.” Then he kisses my forehead. I pouted and said “I’m not little. I want a boy first! I’ll name him Xavier Travis!” Cordell smiled and said “That name is cute tho. Our baby would be so fly! I’ll buy him true religion trousers!” I looked at Cordell and said “You aren’t 2 Chainz so stop!” he chuckled and then I said “How do you know if you’ll even be the father. I could meet someone in college.” He looked at me and said “OH so we aren’t going to be together in college?” I shrugged and said “I know you don’t want to be tied down to me when we go separate places. Then college parties and such you will not want to feel like you’re cheating. We can just break up then when we done with school hopefully get back together if we aren’t in love with someone else.” He looked at me and said “I understand that but don’t say it like that. I mean I could actually see myself getting mad about you bringing a boy home to meet your parents and I’ll be lonely.” I smiled and said “Jealousy is sexy on you!” he smiled and I kissed his cheek. “But Foreal. I have to approve of your boyfriend.” I looked away and said “And I have to approve of your girlfriend.” He smiled and said “Okay.” I nodded and we shook hands. That would be weird though. The lunch bell rang dismissing our conversation and I said “Well happy birthday again and I love you!” I kissed him then he chuckled and I walked off.

End of the day I walked out of class and Michelle wasn’t there. I hope she didn’t stand me up without texting me. I walked to my car and she was there. “Well where were you I was worried!” I said hugging her. She smiled and said “I was in the office. Um you still want to talk?” I nodded and said “Yes definitely after your boyfriend out of all people came to talk to me.” She looked around nervously and said “Well what did he say?” I sighed and said “Something about I’m not helping you and you told him something and all this craziness. But we will talk about that right?” she nodded and I unlocked my cars. We got in and started up the car. “Where you want to go?” she shrugged and said “Um can we go to Burger king?” I looked down and said “I’m pretty sure Cordell’s ex is working and she doesn’t like me. How about Subway?” her eyes lit up and said “that would be great! I would love it!” I nodded and smiled. I really want my best friend back! We drove round to Subway and we got out. We made our subs and I paid for it. We sat down and I said “So explain.” She sighed and said “Well a lot has been going on. Cordell knows I told him when I went over to Jarsdell’s house and he was there. I wanted to tell you so bad but I just you would have judged me. I mean I really didn’t mean for this to happen but it’s over and done with. I wish I had a relationship like you and Cordell. I made a lot of wrong decisions and I don’t want you to look at me different. If you don’t want to be my friend I totally understand and don’t blame Cordell because he didn’t tell you. I begged him not to because I knew I would tell you on my own time. I’m really sorry and I don’t know what your parents will think about this and I just wanted someone to talk to but I felt that you would judge me.” She sniffed and looked at her sandwich. I sat there just dwelling on her words. “Your pregnant aren’t you?” she looked up and I looked at her. “Yes and I’m totally sorry. I never meant for it to happen. Please don’t judge me! I’m seriously sorry! I understand you won’t want to be my friend anymore. And I’m truly” I cut her off and smiled “I better be godmother!” she looked confused then she smiled. “So you aren’t mad?” I shook my head and said “How can I be? You are my best friend! I understand everybody makes mistakes! But you learn from them Michelle! Of course I’m disappointed you didn’t tell me and I wish you did! I can’t me mad at you though. I wish you came to me and talked to me. How many months are you?” she smiled and said “2 months I’ll be 3 next week.” I nodded and said “Wow! I’ll be there for you whenever you need me. If you’re craving something you call me and I’ll be there. I love you so much and you better not block me out again!” she nodded and I stood up pulling her up hugging her. We didn’t even eat our subs. I wrapped mines back up and she did to. “I want to tell your parents.” I nodded and said “I’m pretty sure they will understand. They had to deal with Marion when he got his baby mama pregnant. How is your family taking it?” she sighed and said “ma is upset about it but she understands. Marcus (her brother) is like really mad at me. He won’t speak to me at all. He doesn’t even look at me. I just wish he just get over it!” I nodded and said “So what about college?” she sighed and said “I get to go off and my mom is keeping the baby. Then Jarsdell I really don’t know about us. He wants to be together but I just been having these hormones that tell him anything crazy and he flips at me and it makes me mad.” I sighed and said “Wow, I’ll have Marion talk to him about that. Come on I’ll take you to my house.” She nodded and we got in my car. I’m totally glad I have my best friend back!
