Recap:

"Don't do it. He hasn't done anything wrong, he was just try-" Madness pressed a finger on my lips,

"Don't try defending him. It won't make a difference," his thumb caressed my lower lip softly "Unless..." he trailed off purposefully.

"Unless what?" his red eyes looked right into mine.

"Unless you give yourself to me," I froze "willingly."

My heart was hammering in my chest while I was staring into the red sea of Madness’ eyes. They seemed to grow brighter and darker with each passing second. The tension was so thick; you could have cut it with a knife. Threatening waves of power and danger were washing over me from him. His pale features looked tense as if he was holding back his fury. I knew it wouldn’t take much to make him snap; he would probably slit my throat if I irritated him any further. He was staring at me expectantly waiting for my answer. His twisted offer was prowling around my mind. Dagon’s life was in my hands; he could die because of me. I couldn’t allow that after all he did to save me. But I couldn’t give Madness my innocence so easily, that was all I had left. Madness moved closer, his cold breath fanned my lips.

“Well do we have a deal, Angeles?” he whispered in an enchanting voice. His hand pulled the covers off me. I didn’t stop him, I didn’t do anything when his cold fingers traced up my thigh. My eyes never left his when his hand reached the hem of my panties. His breath was getting heavier with each passing second; his eyes blazing with lust.

“Wait,” I grabbed his wrist stopping him. Madness grinned at me, showing his razor sharp teeth.

“Afraid?” he asked amused. I swallowed...thinking,

“Be strong, Angeles. You can do this.”

Out loud I said harshly, “I haven’t said yes so keep your hands off me.” pushing his hand away. Madness’ expression darkened as his clenched his teeth and said

“I thought you care for that pathetic excuse for a demon.”

“You thought wrong,” I lied sitting up and pushing him off me in the process. I knew this wasn’t a good idea. Provoking him, the demon of insanity, was never a good idea. However, I didn’t really have a choice. Madness was going to hurt me one way or the other so I could at least keep my dignity intact during the process. I let my shoulders relax as I let out all the air I had been holding in. Madness scanned my calmed expression.

“You’re not afraid of me,” he tilted his head to the side, his eyebrows furrowed in confusion, “Do I need to remind you of the things I’m capable of?” he asked looming over me. I was forced to lean backwards on the bed for the second time that night.

“Have faith in yourself,” Dagon’s words echoed through my head.

              Angel…

              Raven…

              Drake…

              Jessica…

All the people I needed to be strong for.  They cared about me. It was time for me to face Madness. I was tired of being pushed and pulled around like some puppet. I was tired of being confused, of questioning my sanity. I had finally reached the point of no return. I knew I had to fight back harder than I ever had before if I wanted to survive. I almost died just a few hours ago, the next time I was sure I wouldn’t be so lucky. I wanted to live; I wanted to experience all the things I hadn’t done yet. God, I wanted to have my boring life back so badly. I didn’t want to be scared anymore, I didn’t want to feel so confused about everything.
