Chapter one

When I woke up, I knew that I had slept in a little late. I knew that my parents would be mad if I didn't put in an appearence soon. They were more of a traditional family. They wouldn't even let me wear pants, and I've always had long hair all of my life. Today was my eighteenth birthday. My family didn't believe in celebrating holidays. So, for me, this was just like any other day.

I put on a simple dress, and went downstairs to greet my family. I had two older brothers, Michael and David. They were sitting at the breakfast table looking all solemn-like. It was as if they had been waiting for me to come down to breakfast. I looked at the clock on the wall. It showed that it was ten o'clock in the morning.

"Sara, dear, breakfast will be ready in a few minutes." my mother said in a sweet voice.

Breakfast came a few minutes later, and we all ate in silence. Mother cleared the table after we were done eating. After she had sat back down by dad, dad cleared his throat, and said: "Sara, we have an announcement for you. This will come as a big suprise for you, but, you're getting married."
