A frown was clearly etched onto her face as she read through the comments on Twitter. It was terrible, really. The fact that people were low enough to send her death threats and hate messages just for dating someone that they had a celebrity crush on? It was pathetic. “She’s hideous, and she deserves to die.” “I belong with Harry! Me, me, me! Not that ugly skank.” “Ugh, I hate that whore.” All of these words, said to a girl because she was dating Harry Styles and they weren’t. The fans — should they really be called fans if they’re doing stuff like this? — judged the girl endlessly, acting like they knew every detail of her life, when in reality, they didn’t. In fact, they only pretty much knew a few obvious details. With one last look of her mentions, the girl let out a sob and dialed her boyfriend’s number. “I’m so sorry Harry... I just... I can’t do this anymore.”
That was about a year and a half ago, before One Direction became more known in the US. Imagine the hate his girlfriend would’ve received around this time. It would’ve been chaotic, and he knew that she would have to leave sooner or later. She was a lovely girl; she was beautiful, talented, honest, caring, and grounded. He was everything he wanted in a girl and more. Harry knew why their relationship had to end, and he hated the fact that it ended that way. He could’ve done something about it. He could’ve told the fans to calm down. No, he couldn’t have done that. He didn’t have the heart to. Harry knew that his fans would end up sending him hate, telling him that the fame had changed him and to stop sticking up for someone who didn’t need it. As much as he hated to admit it, he probably would’ve done the same thing if he were in her position.
Demetria Jasey Cortez was a normal fifteen year old girl. She sometimes went by DJ to her family, or Jasey to her friends. If you were close to her, she’d allow you to crack a joke and call her Jasey Rae. Though to most, she was just Jasey. She hated her first name. She thought it was too elegant, and it didn’t fit her personality correctly. If you asked people about Jasey, they’d immediately tell you that she was a sassy little thing, a strong creature, and can probably make the Big Show cry. If you asked her close friends about her, they’d tell you that she’s an adorable teddy bear, who can easily make someone smile in an instant. They’d tell you that she’d do anything to keep someone happy and make sure they’re okay.
So where exactly is this story going? Jasey works in a bakery, run by her mother’s close friend Lynn. ⅕ of One Direction decides to stop by there so he can buy Harry a cake for his birthday, as a late present since Harry brought up the fact that Louis didn’t really get him a present on his actual birthday. Louis and Jasey meet, he takes her to meet the boys and well... The rest is history.
