"Dude that stinks...." I told Alex as we walked out of the hospital.
"I know bro but hey at least the doctor said that my shoulder should be a hundred percent in a week or two" Alex was fixing his splint strap
"True but how are you gonna explain your car to your parents?"
"I have no idea I'll just tell them that my car got stolen"
"And what about your shoulder?"
"Well for that I got my trusty ole skate board I'll say that I tried jumping a rail but missed horribly and landed on my shoulder and you took me to the hospital"
I laughed then replied "Ohh don't you go dragging me down with you" Alex punched me playfully in the arm.
"Your lucky your crippled cuz I would have opened up a can of whoop butt on you" We started laughing in union and before we knew it we were standing outside the gates to my house.
"Hey bro, you wanna stay over for the rest of the night it's practically midnight and Annabells staying at her friends for the night" I started fumbling for the keys as we reach the front door
"Uh yeah sure Im positive my folks won't even notice I didnt come home besides me and you need some Bestfriend time considering I was being a douche before"
Alex smiled at me and at that moment I couldn't help but think about Annabell and how nice it would be to talk more with Alex about my feelings for Annabell
"Well come on in then"
(About an hour later inside Jake's room)
"Dude how are you and annabell by the way?"
"Ohh bro it's pretty bad I mean I'm starting to think that I really like her though we are blood so I don't think it's possible morally or physically besides Uncle Henry would beat me before ever letting me and annabell date"
"True but doesn't it seem the besting is worth it? I mean it's annabell we are talking bout here"
"Yeah your right the next time I see her I'm just gonna go right up to her and tell her how I feel and hopefully she feels the same way"
I flipped the light switch and watched as Alex got up and walked out of my bedroom. That night all I thought about was annabell and how much I loved her and wanted to be with her. Finally I drifted off to sleep in the early A.M. hours
(6 in the morning)
I woke up to the sound of Alex singing along to one of his favorite Three Days Grace song - World So Cold and I couldn't help but think about my life and hoe ironically the world really is cold I mean cosmic energy and everything was crap.
I got out of bed and took a shower laughing occasionally when I would hear Alex try to reach a high note on the next song he started listening to
When I got out of the shower I put on my favorite faded jeans and a plaid black and neon green shirt then I headed downstairs where I surprisingly found Alex had already made breakfast I couldn't help but let m wander once gain to annabell
CLICK CLICK
"Damn" I mumbled under my breath
"What's wrong Jake?" Alex asked concern in his eyes
"Why hello there Jake and Jake's friend, where is my darling annabell?"
Uncle Henry was back and I knew he was gonna be pissed when he found out annabell had spent the nigh at one of her friends houses
"Uhh urrr.....ugh...." was all I managed while thinking of a good excuse
"She left for school early she had to finish and extra credit project" thank goodness Alex save me big time
"Ohh that's good as long as she's not out with some boy bumping uglies" Uncle Henry said satisfied
"What the freak does 'Bumping Uglies' mean?" I asked confused at his choice of words
"Are you stupid?" Uncle Henry glared
"No" I replied coldly
"It mean doing the nasty, getting down whatever you kids call it these days" was all uncle henry said before running off to go into his bedroom
"Weird!!!!!" Alex said as we walked towards the front door
"Your telling me" as we laughed and walked out the front door
Today's the day, the day I tell annabell that I care for her mor then a cousin should
Ugh this day wasn't going to be good that I was sure of I mean what if she was disgusted by the idea of liking me more then her beaten up older cousin
