Chapter 1- Meeting the Dramas

^^ David Summers

David's POV:

"Wake up, loser." Dominic said shaking me as I slept peacefully under the covers.

"Fuck off, Dominic."

"No. I get to school early so that I'm not seen pulling up in the parking lot with you. Either that or no ride." He said. We lived twenty minutes by drive from the school, so walking wasn't really an option. I sighed pulling back the covers as Dominic finally left my room. I wasn't in with Dominic's group because I didn't work out twenty-four/seven and I didn't drink protein shakes for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Werewolves naturally had toned bodies and I didn't see the need in adding to it.

I grabbed my glasses and put them on. My eye was damaged during a battle with a vampire. She clawed her long cat like nails and got me in the eye. It didn't damage my vision horribly but in human form my vision was slightly strained.

I took a quick shower, leaving my brown hair dripping with water, I shoved on a pair of jeans and a plain grey t-shirt. I grabbed my bag and slipped on my shoes and ran outside. I took out my science homework and began reading it over.

I didn't care much for sports like Dominic and his friends. I was good at them but I was mostly interested in school, that of course pegged me as a nerd in their eyes.

Dominic wore jeans with a tight white shirt and his football jacket over top. Typical jock.

I rolled my eyes and settled into his 96' Mustang. It was his prize posession...besides the girl he wanted to date so badly.

No sorry he didn't just want to date her. He wanted her to be his mate but he had a strong feeling she wasn't. Although he was captain of the football team and she was head cheerleader...they weren't compatible.

Mostly because...

She was my mate.

I knew it by the day I first looked into her dark blue eyes. They were kind and warm even though they were dark. She always had a smile on her face and she was one of the nicest girls at school, she also had a killer body. How did I know? Most cheerleaders wore their uniform around school...and let's just say it wasn't the best thing to wear if you wanted to cover up.

She was amazing. Everyone wanted to be around her and be her friend. I wished I could be the mate she deserves but after years of being in the same class, I doubt she even knows my name. Especially since both my best friends are ostracized for liking the same sex.

Jesse Blaine has been my best friend since I could remember. He told me he was gay in grade nine and I didn't care. He thought it was a huge deal and was stressed about telling me and I laughed and patted his shoulder and then we went and got pizza.

Parker Huston was my best friend since grade five, she came out to both Jesse and I in grade nine as well. I guess it was confession time.

Except my confession was that I was straight and my mate was Courtney White, Parker's mate is Courtney's best friend Hilary Hues. Which most people call "Double H', and what actually made me laugh...was that Jesse is Dominic's mate I don't even think Dominic knows. But it made me laugh since he was so...well still so hung up over Courtney.

I laughed quietly to myself in the car.

"What's so funny, dickhead?" He asked.

"Nothing." I answered quietly still smirking.

When we got to school he parked out before the parking lot to let me walk in by myself...as usual.

Brother love am I right?
