"What do we buggin' have this time?" Bright light pierced through my eyelids, willing me to open them. But I couldn't physically open my eyes. I was too tired.

"A girl, You should know the pattern by now!" Someone lightly shook my shoulder, "Ah, we may have a wee little problem. Our greenie here seems to be bleedin an awful lot."

"How bad?"

"Is she dead?"

"If not I have dibs."

"Need help lifting her, Alby?"

Various shouts and voices broke out far above me, until one voice sounded louder than the anxious crowd.

"Everybody just shut your shuck traps before I banish your sorry butts at the closing, ya hear me clear?!" The voices silenced and the ground shook around me as though someone had jumped into the crate.

"Should we get the medjacks? Poor saps bleeding."

"No klunk, slinthead. Thanks for statin' the obvious. As if the pool of mysterious red liquid wasn't evidence enough," this came from the loud voice I heard a few seconds ago that was far away. It seemed close now, too close, "Jeff! Clint! Get the medjacks you shanks." The boy shouted loudly, directing his voice upward, "Where are they when we need them?! Somebody help me out of this buggin' thing."

A few seconds later, someone, Alby maybe?, placed two fingers on my neck feeling for my pulse. He thought I was dead.

I slowly opened my eyes a tad, moaning lightly.

"Oh thank goodness, I was almost thinkin' you were good as dead," The boy moved into my line of view, blocking the bright light. He must have been around 18 years old. He had dark skin and black hair that was cut close to his head, "Are you alright? What happened to ya? Oh, the names Ably by the way," he smiled, while holding his hand out for me to shake, he quickly retracted it though, noticing my apprehension.

I began to sit up, when I felt a sharp pain jut through my leg. It just then reoccurred to me that my leg was hurt. Darn knife.

I opened my eyes fully, as I finally sat up straight. I was still in the box like before, but now the top was opened to reveal a dozen or so teens standing around the boxes perimeter. Above them, the sky was a pretty blue color. Where was I?

"Where am I?" My voice sounded strained and more panicked than I would have liked.

"We'll explain it all to ya' later once the medjacks take care of you." Ably reassured, motioning for me to lie back down.

Once lying on my back, my mind was beginning to fog up again, my vision blurry. The air was thick and heavy to breathe in.

"So, what happened to you down there?" Ably asked, "You feelin' alright...?" He trailed off not knowing what to call me.

"Brianne. That's all I remember and now I'm here." I was panicking again. I needed to calm down, "Wherever here even is."

"Look I get it, you're scared, that's only human, but-" He held his hand out for me to take again.

"Where am I?" I asked with more power in my voice this time.

"We have to leave this box before I can answer anything." He stretched his arm out further towards me.

"No, I'm not going anywhere with you!" I slid away from this Alby guy.

"I understand your apprehension, but we need you to cooperate with us, shanks, so we can help you." Ably said touching my shoulder.

Shanks. What the heck?

"Don't touch me! Who are you people?!" I shouted this to the crowd of kids watching the events unfold below, "Why am I here?!" I moved back into the corner of the box, as far away from Alby as possible, hugging my knees to my chest. I became so dizzy that I thought I might faint again.
