I stalk you, silent, through the night,
and even past the dawn
My prey, to give me strength and sight,
to prove my fears all wrong.
Soon the day burns strong and bright,
myself to be the one,
Who's stalked, relentless, and despite
all else that's going on.
Tonight, determined, I will seek you,
throughout each room and hall,
to find you, catch you, hold you tight,
Beware! This time you'll fall.
Come to me, my prey, don't fight,
I'll hold you in my mind,
To rest, to dream, perhaps take flight,
it's you that I must find.
I'll run, fleeting, through this night,
wandering 'midst these halls
or lay in silence, eyes shut tight,
My face turned toward the wall.
I know I'll catch you, soon, my friend,
I have no doubts in you,
and then, too soon, you're gone again,
our game to start anew.
