We talk and talk
Dancing around what we really want to say
Concealing our meanings in everything said

Believing you love me
Through the way you whisper and hug me
Knowing my reply
How much I miss you, what we had
And how much I still love you
Telling you as I share your pain
We dance and sidestep
Avoiding the truth
Don't want to admit the obvious
We're stuck in an endless tango
It's painful
I almost slip up
On the tip of my tongue, on the tip of yours

This love we share
We're talking and talking
Noticing the gaps of things we can't share
And I don't know if this is it
All we can be
Just two friends in love
Too afraid to tell what we both know
