Too Busy to Scream
Don't
An inward request
As soft and demented
As intensities go; unsettling
Stop
A childish plea
Gone unheard under all the heat
A whisper in my ear
Meant to be sweet
But grating in the moment
Please
A wordless obscenity head bound
Deaf screams to a busy world
If only away was where I laid
A gentle touch
Disgusting; a charade of care
Look away he'll stop then
He does not
A bristle of destruction
A monster's eyes lurking
Wandering with curiosity
Let go
Too bad I never spoke these words
Out loud
