~Nathaniel~
Brenna... Lythia was convulsing harshly and screaming. I took her hand. The convulsions didn't fade. "You can do it Brenna..." I assured softly. I crossed my fingers and hoped to the gods that she could make it...
~Brenna(?)~
I stood crucified before a crowd of people all cursing at me. I struggled. "DEMON! You bring nothing but despair to us... You must die heathen!" they yelled angrily. They set the wood beneath me aflame. The fire danced and licked at my legs sending the burning sensation all the way up to my waist. I cried out in pain. They laughed, delight in their eyes. In the front row a child was positioned with a man holding both her shoulders and her eyes filled with tears. "WATCH DEMON CHILD! YOUR MOTHER IS AN UNWELCOME PEST AND YOU ARE AN ABOMINATION!" the man's voice rang loud. I growled. I'd seen this before... From the front row... The girl had silver hair and bright red eyes... She looked like me! She didn't look much older than 3 years old... "DIE PARASITE!" the townsfolk yelled. "NO! MAMA!" the girl screamed and thunder rumbled loudly. Rain fell and put out the fire. The ropes around my wrists and ankles snapped open and I dropped to the ground. "Baby?" I whispered and took the girls hands. They faded back to a mixture of red and smoky black. "Let's go..." I suggested and lifted her into my arms.
The townsfolk came at us. "Relinquere nos!" I yelled and there was a flash of blue light and we were gone...

I stood in a dimly lit room the pale light illuminating from a single flickering candle. 'FLASH' 20 or so other candle alight at once casting long shadows on the floor and walls. I stared around in amazement. The room was empty apart from the candles floating in midair. "Mama?" a voice so quiet and frightened asked. "Dear you must escape... For now... Patitur tempus mutare puer ad aliud anima, et ius ad vivere erit eius!" with another flash of blue light the child disappeared.

I walked into a room and froze in horror. Heat pulsed in my veins at the sight of the dead people on the floor, one of which was Nathaniel. Venom boiled in my throat. "NO! I'll KILL you for this! I'll scorch your eyes from their sockets, I'll rip your flesh from bones, I'll crush your skulls, I'll pull your ribs from your chests, I'll tear your throats out! Damn your souls to HELL! Your life will be mine!" I shrieked in a rage and fire consumed the air around me. Burning fire licked in my throat and mouth until I opened and fire engulfed the building. "May you all rest in peace" I whispered and closed my eyes to be burnt alive by my own flame...

I jerked awake and into a sitting position. Nathaniel jumped from his chair. My eyes went wide and I threw my arms around him. "It was just a dream!" I cried. "No... It wasn't... It was the future you will never have" the witch raised a blade and plunged it down toward Nathaniel's back. I was instantly in the way and caught the blade. "Silver?" I asked. She was frozen in terror. "Allow me..." I bent the dagger over on itself and drove it into her chest. She cried out. "Oh sorry, by the way you attacked my companion I thought you had a death wish..." I smirked and she turned to dust. Nathaniel stared in shock. "I won't forgive them.... If that happens... They will also die" I said mostly to myself. "What are you talking about?" Nathe asked, frowning deeply. "Don't worry... Let's get a move on... I know where we're off to next..." I stated lifting up a magic book into my hands. "Okay... Let's go..." he nodded. We left the little hut and the coldness really took hold.

We walked in silence and Brenna... Lythia wouldn't tell me of what she'd seen when under that witch's curse. She'd said it was the future... Was it that horrible? Did we fail? I couldn't be sure... The wind blew her hair wildly, somehow reminding me of Lythia... The one who'd saved me from that sorceress... I wanted to see her again... Even if only for a moment... Her eyes the colour of a mixture of smoky black and red... I'll never forget them... I fell in love with them... A woman strong enough to defend ME my dream mate...
Brenna stopped, I looked up and my eyes widened...
~Chapter 3 END~
