His Abused Mate

Chapter 9

Jenna's P.O.V.

After we literally kissed and made up, we just held each other for a while. I held on to him like a rock. Physically and emotionally.

"Thank you." I whisper. I look up and see that he has a smile stretched across his face. "You're welcome sweetheart." He responds while caressing my face.

"Sorry I over reacted and I know that wasn't even that big of a fight, I felt horrible yelling at you." I say cuddling closer to my amazing mate.

"I know, that happens because of the mate bond and that's why rejection is so rare too. Mates can't stand to be apart or hurt each other." Alex responds and with that he lifts my chin and places a lingering kiss on my lips.

*CLICK*

"Awwww! Don't they look just so darn cute?!" I turn my head to see Maddie showing Holden a picture apparently of Alex and I kissing.

"Why are you guys in our room?" I ask embarrassed.

"No reason," Seth says with a giggle, "oh and Alex, that was the cutest thing you said back there when you wanted to apologize." My face flames and I bury my head into Alex's neck and I hear him chuckle.

"I know, and it's true." He responds and I feel him kiss the top of my head. And at that moment my stomach decided to sound like a dying whale. Everyone started to laugh including me. "Let's get you some food. It's is around dinner time." Alex says with a chuckle.

"Ok," I say as he picks me up and carries me downstairs, "you know I can walk right?"

"Yes but I like to have my mate in my arms." He whispers so that only I can hear. I sigh in content and just enjoy being in my mate's arms.

Alex's P.O.V.

After we had dinner I took Jenna up to our room and out onto the deck that we had attached. We climbed up on the roof and sat there just watching the sunset. (Our room was on the top floor and we can jump higher than normal humans so it was easy to get on the roof). She was too far away from me for comfort so I moved to her and wrapped my arm around her waist. Adien purred I content when she leaned closer to us.

"Isn't beautiful?" Jenna asks while looking at the sunset. I look down at her and say, "I've seen things more beautiful." She looks up at me and blushes. I lean down and kiss her soft lips and pull her closer. She lets out a moan and pushes herself closer. I pull back and hear her whimper.

"I'm sorry, but I feel like if we continue, this time I won't be able to hold back." I say brushing a piece of hair out of her face. She looks down and murmurs, "oh okay." She jumps down from the roof and I see her go into our room but not before I see her wipe a tear from her cheek.

"Shit." I say while running my hands through my hair.

Nice job idiot. Did you ever think that she wanted to go farther? I know you want to go at her pace but what you just did sounded like a rejection to her Adien said with a low growl the whole time.

What should I do? I ask him just wanting my mate back.

Go in there and kiss her! See what she says otherwise I'll take over and we both don't want that to happen for the sake of our mate. he says and with that I jump off the roof and walk into our room. I look over to the bed and I see Jenna sitting there staring off into space. I slowly approach her and I sit on the edge of the bed. "I'm sorry baby I-I didn't know and ug." I say but then stand up to leave but before I get two steps away I feel her grab my wrist. I turn around and see her looking up at me with lust in her eyes.

"I'm ready." She says.

"Are you sure? Can you handle it with out...memories?" I ask not trying to pressure her into anything but Adien was really close to surfacing.

Jenna's P.O.V.

I nod my head and finally open myself up to him physically and emotionally.

"I love you." He whispers once we finish and that's when I realize that we are inseparable no matter what the world throws at us. I look into his eyes and see love and adoration swirling in his green eyes.

" I love you too." I say and kiss his lips. He lays down next to me and pulls me into his arms. I let out a yawn and snuggle closer.

He laughs and kisses my forehead and says, "Go to sleep love. I'll be here when you wake up." I close my eyes and feel myself drifting off into the darkness of sleep in the arms of my might in shining armor: my mate.
