I nodded and walked to the back as I scanned some racks that had some dresses on them. I looked at a couple I thought I'd like but decided they weren't me. I passed by a rack of knee length summer dresses. I picked through them and found a black one. I'm shorter than the person the dress was made for so the dress rested below my knees. I picked it up but didn't bother trying it on because I knew it would fit.

A chim from the bell hanging on the door alerted the manager and me to people. Although I don't think you'd call them your usual customers. The reason I say that is because they were guys, guys with baggy clothes. Oh, and did I forget to mention they have guns?

Of course they are hidden, but anyone who could read minds would be able to read how confident they feel. I dove in deeper to their minds, the guy with the short blonde hair was thinking about something too hard so I focused on his mind as I dove in deeper.

'Point and shoot and the get cash. That's all you have to do. That's all you have to do to be part of the gang,' he thought as I decided on what I was going to do.

"Are you serious? You're gonna kill her and rob the store just for a stupid initiation into a gang? You could do much better than that." The guy jumped at the sound of my voice. All three guys whipped out their guns. Probably stolen guns too by how expensive they looked. Their guns pointed at me since the manager was on the floor behind the counter with the cash register on it.

"We aren't going to just kill her. We are going to kill you too. How about that? Does that sound fair to you? What about you guys?" The leader asked his followers.

"I think that would be a perfect idea, boss." the third guy said.

I tried not to laugh but failed. "This is how it's going to go. You three are going to leave right now, and If you leave fast enough, I wont hurt you as much as I intend to if you don't leave."

"Is that right? Well, I guess we'll have to teach you a lesson in how to shut your mouth," the 'boss' said as he motioned to the other guys."Get her!"

I laughed again and carefully put the black sundress on the counter. I turned to face the guys and said, " Bring it."

The blonde guy tried to rush me while the other guy tried to shoot me. I could only dogde one so I decided I'd rather get shot by an idiot than have one knock me down with him on top. As soon as the blonde guy moved, the other guy pulled the triger on the gun. I dodged the blonde guy, but the other guy's hit me. Pain radiated from my stomach. I kept my mind open so I could anticipate their moves. The blonde guy came at me again, but before he could reach me I rushed him and caught him by the throat. I shoved him against a wall and pushed him up until his feet were at least a foot off the ground.

"Are you done yet?" I growled at him and felt a burnng of power surge through me. He nodded and I threw him across the room. He took down a few racks of dresses with him as he flew across the room.

"What about you? Are you done?" I asked the other thug. He jsut stared at me so I raised my hand, but before I could do anything, he was up and scrambling out of the door. The blonde thug followed his suit and ran out of the store as fast as his baggy clothes would let him.

I turned to the leader and asked, "I'm feeling a little generous. I'll let you leave without any injuries, but only if you never come back. If I here that you come back, I will personally hunt you down and kill you. Do you understand me?"

"Y-yes I u-understand." he stuttered. I motioned for him to leave and he ran out of the store like a demon was after him. I laughed inwardly. I was close enough to a demon as anyone could get.

I walked to the counter and said, "You can come out now." I put my hand to my stomach to hid as much blood so she wouldn't freak out. The woman peeked her head up a little to see over the counter. Whe nshe saw that no one was in the store but only us two, she stood up.

I pointed to the black sundress on the counter and she said, "Take it, as a gift for saving my life. I promise no one will hear a ord out of me."

She looked really scared so I said, "I will come back if I hear anything close to what you saw. And I will also come back to shop and check up on you." My smile was genuine and I think she sensed that so she gave me a shaken smile.

I raced back home, draining a few deer on the way. I reached the house but instead of going through my bedroom window, I decided to face everyone head on and entered through the front door.
