In Love With My Vampire Master (On hold)

"Okay," Dakoda says, gently lying my shivering body down into his lap, "this is how I am going to feed off of you." My wide, scared eyes flash into his and then dart around the room. He frowns, sensing my nervousness and puts two fingers over my slightly quivering lips, "it's okay, nothing bad's going to happen."

I nod stiffly and then wait, taking mental notes on how this is going to go down now.

He puts his hand behind my neck and brushes a lock of hair out of my face with the other. He leans in, very slowly and a few inches before he reaches my neck, looks into my eyes. By heart breaks out into a ridiculous speed as his red eyes do it again, charming me in mysterious ways. He then leans in and brushes his lips along my jaw, breathing in my scent, who I am, what will soon be his. His cool, marble lips stop at my neck and he hesitates slightly before his teeth puncture my throat, it doesn't hurt very much, sure, it stings a little due to his venom, but overall it's fine.

I lay there and close my eyes as he sips my blood, drip by precious drip. The minutes tick by slowly and somehow I can feel the insides of me changing, sorting themselves out, it's like...the universe is shifting. Suddenly I know I'm his and I have to be loyal to him forever. Disobeying him seems nightmarish, leaving him is synonymous to death, and him dying...meant taking my own life. I was connected to him now, in a way I'd never been to anyone, it was insane.

The minutes were slow, but eventually he pulled away and looked into my eyes for a minute or so. I took in every detail I could of his perfect face, the way he held me, how my blood had made his cool body temperature rise, making him warm and cold, at the same time. Suddenly, I found myself wanting him. I wanted to lie here in his arms and stare into those beautiful crimson eyes, I wanted to lean up and kiss him for the rest of eternity. And I almost did kiss him, I did. My newest and craziest wish now was to be fed off more often, if it came with this wonderful feeling.

"That wasn't so bad, was it?" He asks, pulling away from my longing gaze.

Instead of saying something stupid like, 'I love you', I just nodded my head, feeling sad inside. Why would he have feelings for me? I mean, look at him! Surely there was a vampire girlfriend somewhere in his life! Besides, I was his pet, he fed off of me, I was his slave. No one falls for their slave.

He smiles at me and begins to open his mouth but quickly closes it, thinking better of himself. "I think I'll go catch up on my reading." Then, he carries me back to my room and lies me down on my bed, running the back of his smooth hand against my arm, and runs off to his room, or the library, or wherever he's going.

I lay there for a moment, staring up at the ceiling, frozen. "What am I thinking?" I mumble out loud to myself. "In love? With him? Please, August! You just got here!" I frown and then sigh. Maybe it is possible, to fall in love this fast. I doubt it, I really, strongly do, but maybe it was. Maybe it was a delayed reaction from love at first sight! Who knows? "I'm living with a vampire, as his pet," I scoff, "anything is possible...."

Later that day, I got dressed in something I hoped appeared casual, and started to call out for Dakoda.

"Dakoda!" I yelled repeatedly, my voice bouncing off the walls and into different halls, "Dakoda!"

"What, what?" He asked, annoyed.

"Where are--"

Firm hands on my shoulders turn me to him and I blush a little. He raises and eyebrow and the corners of his lips twitch as he fights a smile. "Right here, love."

My heart stops for a moment when he called me love. When I recovered, I managed to stammer, "I-I was just going to the store and I was wondering if maybe you could--"

He cuts me off, closing his eyes and putting a finger over my lips. "What? Since when are you going to the store?" 

"Well, I just thought...pets need to eat, too, and--"

"Yeah, I have food."

My shoulders relax and I smile. "Oh, I didn't think you would because you're a vampire and all, and from I've read and seen they don't really...eat you know? I didn't think there would be any point of you having food, so why bother for your pet?"

"Well," he said, smiling now, "a pet's gotta eat too!"
