The Story Of My Life (and Death)

I took a deep breath and casually strolled into my new class. I hadn't had a hard time finding it, but I came late to Homeroom. The teacher, Dr. Lisa Caswell, said that I should put my bag in the back, get out a book, and sit in a seat next to some girl named Maddy, who raised her hand at the mention of her name. I plopped myself down at my new seat, and took a look around the classroom. There were some cute guys, most of which were pretty short, and some not cute guys. There were also some girls that looked like nice people, like this Maddy girl. Maddy looked up from her book and smiled at me, showing crooked teeth. I dove into my book, which was called ,'The Warrior Heir'.

After homeroom, Maddy asked me if I wanted to sit with her and her friends at lunch. A tall girl with light brown hair and glasses over her blue eyes was with her. She introduced herself as Asta. I noticed that Maddy was rather short. I said, "Sure! I'll sit with you guys. I've gotta get to my next classs now, so bye." We split ways. My schedule said that my next class was Algebra, in a different building, so I speed-walked to the class. I noticed some of the people from homeroom there. Asta was one of them. After class, I walked to my next one.

When lunch-time came, I walked into the cafeteria, following the flow of students. I spotted Maddy and made my way over to the table. I sat down next to her, then Asta came, and then a girl with medium skin and dark braids came over. She looked at me and said, "Hi. I'm Chloe." Maddy introduced me to Amber, and then, I knew everyone at the table. I looked at the table next to us and saw that there was only one girl, the rest boys. Amber, Asta, Chloe, and Maddy divulged into coversation. I looked over at the boy table again, and laughed. One of the boys, a tall one with big ears, had thrown a sauce packet at another boy, a medium-skinned boy with brown hair. That provoked a full-out food fight. A teacher had to come stop it, and I almost got hit with a peice of baloney. Chloe got ketchup in her braids, and Maddy got hit in the back of the head with an apple. I ate my lunch, chuckling at those boys all the while.

After school, I almost got hit by a car while walking home.
