"How was Australia?" I ask as he pulls open the passenger door to his porch. I slide in, waiting patiently as he makes his way around and jumps into the driver's seat. Starting the engine, Austin flashes me a quick smile.

"It was great!" Austin exclaims, navigating out of the parking lot. "You should have been there. The beaches? Fantastic!"

"Really."

"Really!" He continues. "Got to learn how to surf and I must say, it's not the easiest thing. Took me a month to be able to stand up on that damn board."

"Sounds fun." I comment. "How was the movie?"

"It was amazing." Austin tells me. "Tatum Parker is...wow." The biggest grin slides onto Austin's face at the mention of the actress. "She's stunning. Great talent, great personality. Reminded me of you a bit." He throws me a cheeky grin and Harry's face flashes through my mind. "Too bad she's engaged." Austin pouts. "But enough about me. What's going on with you? How's Curly treating you?"

I chew on my lip, contemplating on how much to tell Austin. He knew about everything that went on the past and I've always trusted him. There's not a thing I've kept from Austin yet. Besides, maybe Austin can help me search for some answers.

"He kissed me last night." I blurt out before I can stop myself.

"He what?" Even though he'd heard me clearly, Austin's forehead scrunches up in confusion.

"He kissed me." I repeat. "I wasn't expecting it. It just...happened."

Austin raises an eyebrow. "Did you kiss him back?"

I gulp. "Maybe just...a little bit." Austin stays silent for a while, not saying anything as he drives.

"Do you think...he likes me?" I ask, my voice almost a whisper.

"Gosh, Amber." Austin chuckles bitterly. "This isn't grade school. Of course he fucking likes you!"

I cringe and then Austin sighs.

"Sorry." He apologizes. "I just don't want you getting hurt." He pauses. "How do you feel about him?"

I shrug, turning to stare out the window. "To be honest, Austin. I haven't got a clue."

He sighs again. "But maybe you do have a clue."

"What do you mean?" I question.

"I mean you need to start thinking with your heart instead of your brain." Austin says.

I look at him as if he's gone mad. "What the hell does that even mean?"

Austin smirks. "Figure it out."

When I step out of the bathroom, the first thing I hear is the sound of the doorbell. Without bothering to put on clothes, I saunter over and peer through the peephole. I chuckle when I see the lads standing out there, the peephole causing Louis' head to look bigger than the rest.

Stepping back, I unlock the door and pry it open. "Hey."

Louis bounces inside, raising an eyebrow at the sight of me. "Amber's not here, is she? It so, she's getting an eyeful."

"Put on some trousers at least." Liam crinkles his nose, nudging my shoulder as he passes.

"Amber's out." I tell Louis. "With a friend."

"Who?"

I shrug, closing the door behind Zayn and Niall. "What are you lads doing here?"

Ignoring my question, Niall asks another. "Is there food?"

Smirking, I point towards the kitchen. Niall doesn't even hesitate to go rummaging through the fridge and cabinets. Beside me, Zayn slaps my stomach.

"So you're just walking around flashing your nipples at Amber, mate?"

"Not just his nipples." Liam adds, making a face.

I ignore them. "Amber's not even here." I repeat. "She's out."

"So," Louis throws his arm around my bare shoulders. "Has any snogging happened?"

A cheeky smile makes its way onto my lips. "I may have kissed her."

All of the sudden, everyone turns to stare at me. Niall has a banana between his lips, his eyes wide while Liam just smirks at me. Louis bears the biggest grin on his face and Zayn just stands there with the smallest smile tugging at his lips. Our conversation at beach house flashes back in my mind; the one where Zayn told me that there was nothing going on between him and Amber and that she was all mine. I hadn't realized it back then, but I'd been more than jealous.
