Unknown - The Nightframe Series

Cafeteria was the only place where Christopher and Codie were a little easy on my human friends. Otherwise they won’t even let me talk to them. They behave like real body guards; well maybe I really needed them!

You know what actually freaked me out? That my Cosmic and my best friend, both don’t like each other at all, I’ll be torn in two parts and forced to listen to both of them! !  Alex grinned at Codie, Codie grinning at Alex! Why do they do that?! Maybe they’re fighting for me! Cool! Alex’s olive green eyes sparkled; Codie’s orange amber did the same! What is the grin-stretching, eye-sparkling-formula?? Talk about confusing! After a lot of chit chats, Christopher and Codie decided that it would be better if we go back home.

The routine was always the same; I made dinner and Stacey watched a movie and ate it. It kinda made me happy to do that for her. She ordered me to go and sleep. I climbed upstairs and as Iifted my right hand to switch the lights of, my charm bracelet tingled…like wind chimes. I suddenly remembered how Alex complimented it, in the Café.

‘Ooo…this is the one I gave you?  Seems like you added some things to it…’ she’d said and smiled ‘let me see…and these charms! They look cool! What are they for?’

I kept her from touching any of them, because that crystal can’t start shining like crazy in front of her! But you know right? We’re besties! She’s as stubborn as me! She went ahead and touched it, but she wasn’t able to make it sparkle though, instead she got a shock. Ack!

‘Ouch!’ she withdrew… ‘Static electricity!’ she said. I backed up!

‘Codie and Christopher got me the charms…’ I told her.

‘Well, it’s really something!’ she said. Codie was busy talking with Steffe, so she wasn’t that mad on me. Sigh. Christopher just stared at the apple for a second and dumped it. Maddie seemed to notice that. When she asked, I said ‘He’s a fitness freak, if he had his way he’d rather live on water and oats!’

 That was just in time when I came out of flashback and watched Christopher lean in through the window.

‘You aren’t asleep yet?’ he asked.

‘I was trying to…’ I told him. I lay in my bed with my quilt cuddled around me, I closed my eyes but kept peeping  to ensure that he was still there, all through the rest of the night, not like he wouldn’t now, but I wished he wouldn’t go…

It was Tuesday, the 28th, I woke up late and I noticed that my guards had already left. As fast as I could, I got dressed and ate my breakfast. School was no fun to me these days; it was more like I’m sitting in a boring church! (yea, I’m really an atheist sometimes!) I dozed off in the science class making an excuse of being sick.

Alex promised to give me the Demi Lovato CD back, which she borrowed from me four months back! She forgets the things she’s supposed to return!

‘oh! I got you another thing!’ she said as she handed me the CD. She dug her jacket pocket and took out a little star out of it.

‘What is it?’ I smile.

‘I thought that I can add just a little something to your charms!’ she said, that suddenly made me, I looked through the café…they both weren’t there…maybe they were supposed to collect the Spanish notes!

‘sure you can!’ I said cheerfully. Alex lightly tried to place it beside the moon Christopher gave me, but she faced another little shock, so she handed it to me…

I loosened the hook and attached it into one of the knots in my bracelet. I felt the electricity run through me, starting from my fingertips, working its way up and deep.

‘So, your too precious Brandon’s aren’t here…at least I can talk to you!’ she complained, forking the salad.

‘You don’t really like them, do you?’ I asked.

‘Not bloody likely! But that Brandon guy is a real hottie!’ Alex grinned; she was always like this in case of good looking guys!

‘And thanks for the songs…they’re awesome. Some, like Skyscraper… give me inspiration!’ she said, I slurped down my diet coke. ‘Damn! Frickin hell! I’m late for biology!’   she said and stood up ‘Talk to ya later Jae!’ she ran outside the café with a carrot in her hands! Hehe. Silly Alex!
