it took fifteen minutes for the two girls to drive from the apartment to the nearest McDonald’s , in Sam's words. “Eating is always smart before drinking” it truly wasn't, but who was Addison to tell her different? “What do you want to eat?” Samantha asked holding up her wallet. “Just a Big Mac, no pickles diet cola.”
“We'll have two number two's, one diet one sprite”
Addison found a table by the window and sat down, tapping her phones screen ever minute to see if she'd gotten a new text from Joan, but so far. Nothing. Ever since they first started dating, Addison always had a fear that Joan would get hurt, or sick of her, and not want to talk anymore. But now that she was in a plane where it could crash, and burn, her fear was ten times worse. Sam came over soon with a tray of food, then set it down passing Addison her Big Mac and fries. “You worry to much.” She said just before taking a sip of her sprite. “What do you mean?” Addison asked, opening the box to her no so good looking Big Mac, but then again, what Big Mac ever looked like it's picture? “I mean, before she even started dating you, you'd be all worried saying 'what if she got hit by a bus and that's why she's late for school' and when you started dating, you think she'll die, just worse shit”
“You wouldn't get it, my mind is to, active not to think about that kinda stuff, I turn to anything to think of-” She stopped feeling a buzz in her hand, when she lifted her phone she had a new text, but from her mom. She sighed. Even though Joan would have texted her telling her to have a good time, now wasn't the time. “We'll have fun, trust me.”
“Knowing you, we will” She smiled, soon the girls were done eating, and getting ready to go again. “You know I have school Monday right?” Samantha said standing up
“School? One, it's Summer, two you're returning to grade twelve next year, why go in the Summer?”
“Exam, don't you have an exam?”
Addison shock her head. “Nah, my last one was last week, Aced it though, English is so easy” Sam laughed a little “Yeah, for you, you're little Mrs, Getting 100% in that class, you always went to”
“No, not always, there was the hospital days” Addison said, most for her back, but also check ups “They don't count and you know it” Sam said flipping on the car with her key chain. “You're just good with school” Addison shrugged getting in.
Half an hour later, the two were at the night club, ten on the dot. The perfect night, no clouds, the wind was as light as a feather, the moon shining down. Hard to believe the sun set not ten minutes ago. The music was blaring from the club like drums. There were people smoking all around the front, some already slurring there words to the early night. “Sammy! Addy!” The two turned around to see a taller then them, blond girl with open arms coming in, almost running at them “Jenny hey!” Addison yelled. Not even inside and the music was to loud to talk over.
“What are you doing here?!” Jenny was there friends, only a few months younger then Addison, who was the oldest of the three, she also had a daughter, Zara. Who she had when she was fifteen. But not once did Samantha and Addison leave her side. “Just coming to party like rock stars” Sam said moving in closer to Jenny so she could hear them. She nodded her head, she started to walk inside, and Addison and Samantha followed her. Jenny had on her favourite green and red t-shirt on, with her skin tight jeans, lucky she wasn't a man or she'd never have children.
“It's a great Friday night for that” She said scooping the room “Hey, where is lover gay?” Addison crossed her arms, giving Jenny her best 'That's not even remotely funny' look, but she just brushed it off “She's out of town to see her family”
“Ahh, no fun!” jenny yelled turning her head to the bar “Three Cosmopolitan please!”
“And a cola”
“You're missing out on the best cranberry vodka drink Addy” Jenny said holding one out to Samantha “Like she doesn't know that” Sam said sipping hers “Hey” Sam said “Why did you get three?”
“I got a friend coming, save them the waiting at the bar”
“What friend? Last I checked besides Brad we're your only friends” Addison said. Brad was Jenny's boyfriend, he normally stayed at home watching Zara, even though she wasn't his child.
