I stop. I’m a very stubborn person, and normally I wouldn’t cave to such things, but the fierce look on the man’s face made me want to run away screaming. So, away they went, leaving me behind. Figuring they would be back soon, I sat at the mouth of the cave. And I waited. And waited. And waited.

Eventually, I heard a sound coming from the cave. Feeling relieved that the pirates were finally finished, I leapt to my feet to meet them. But something about the maniacal laughter that came from the cave mouth made me back away. I heard a familiar voice cackling, “We have it all! We’re going to rule the world. And to start, a little sacrifice. I think we all know what that entails, eh men?”

And then, suddenly it hit me. It was me. They were going to sacrifice ME! I suddenly felt sick. They had just been buttering me up with kindness to lead to this moment.

I then did something I seem to be doing a lot today. I ran. Looking back to make sure, (for the second time today) that I wasn’t being followed, I made the mistake of not looking where I was going first. Too late, I looked forward just before the tree jumped in front of me. I ran into it, hit my head and began to see stars. Then, for the second time today, everything went black.
