If I'm Louder, Would You See Me? {A One Direction Fanfic} (ON HOLD)

"So, has anybody asked you to prom yet?" My friend Amy asked.

"No, I don't think I'm going to go," I replied.

The look on her face said, "are you kidding me?!" as she grabbed me by the shoulders. "This is our SENIOR YEAR, Kaylee! You have to go! Not only is it, like, the biggest event in our high school career, it's that one night to just let loose, and maybe meet Mr. Right! Oh, and dress shopping, hair and makeup, and... good God, you have to go!"

I held up my hand to signal her to stop talking. "I don't know. I'm still trying to decide, I mean it's really not my thi-" I stopped short as we rounded a corner in the hallway, and all we could hear was screaming girls. They were all crowded around a particular part of the wall.

They all had the same expression on their faces: shock, disbelief, and awe. Amy and I shared a glance and started towards the crowd. A girl rushed past us, heading to the bathrooms with tears streaming down her face.

"What's going on?" I asked another girl who was trying to reapply her makeup,

"See for yourself," She said, gesturing toward the wall around which the crowd was consistently growing bigger and bigger. The screams were becoming unbearable. Was every single teacher in the school deaf?

I wiggled my way through the crowd, trying desperately not to get crushed by the mass of girls, which was pretty hard considering pretty much the entire female population of our senior class was gathered there.

I finally got to the front of the crowd, and immediately understood the reason for the commotion. Right there, in big bold letters, read: "ONE DIRECTION TO PERFORM AT SENIOR PROM."

Well, I am most definitely going to prom now, I thought to myself.
