My eyes popped open as I shrieked. The sun was shining slightly through the blinds, and if you listened hard enough you could hear the birds chirping.

Oddly enough, I'd still felt the pain from the lightening bolts that had killed me from the spirit realm. I sat up and looked down at my chest. The hole that revealed my blood soaked bra and skin was still there, and I was aching all over.

Jared opened his eyes and sat up as well. He was in perfect condition with the exception of a few tiny scratches on his arms and chest.

He looked at me. "Are you okay?"

I nodded my head but gave him a pained expression. "I think so."

He could tell I was lying though.

He took my pillow and fluffed it for me, before setting it back down behind me. "Here, lay down. I'm gonna' go make you a potion that'll make you feel better... I can find all the herbs I need in the attic above your moms room, right?"

"Mhm." I eased back down onto the bed as he got up and walked over to the room door.

Just as he opened it, I called out to him. "Jared?"

He turned to face me.

A few moments of silence lingered between the two of us as I looked at him, grateful to have ever met him. I loved how he was so caring, so sweet, so attentive to my needs, and so protective. I'd truly found my dream man.

I smiled at him. "Thanks." I said, referring to him helping me in the spiritual realm last night.

I didn't have to explain to him what I meant though, because he already knew. "You're welcome... You're my girlfriend now, did you think I was just gonna let them torture you?" He clenched his jaw and smiled as he lifted an eyebrow.

I smiled again as he disappeared out into the hallway.

I wondered what that thing was that she threw at me in the dream that paralyzed me.

I looked over at the clock.

3:28 PM

Training will be in an hour and thirty two minutes, I'll just ask Robyn then.

My room door flew open. I was expecting to see Jared standing there, but instead I saw Sammy. Her pains must had been really mellow because she seemed in perfect condition. 

I wanted to jump up and cover my wound, but it was too late, she saw it already.

Her eyes widened and she gasped. "Lela, oh my gosh, what the hell happened? Are you okay?"

I nodded my head. "Yeah Sammy, I'm fine, it's nothing..."

She interrupted me with the click clacking of her heels as she hurried over to the bed and sat down beside me, "What happened?..." She pointed a finger in my face as if she were mom or something. "... You tell me the truth."

I giggled and then pretended to bite her finger off, as she quickly moved it from in front of my face. "It's nothing, really it is..."

I was interrupted a second time, but this time it was by the sound of the middle door opening. Cousin Victoria came in, she was wearing a matching light grey sports bra and boy short set, with a silk, pink and green, knee length robe on over top of them.

"Hey Lela can I borrow some..."Her eyes widened when she saw the wound. "...WHAT THE FUCK HAPPENED TO YOU?!" She stopped talking as she hurried over to the bed and sat inbetween me and Sammy, forcing Sammy to move back a little. She whispered. "What happened to you?..." She looked over her shoulder to the door, then back to me. "... Did that mother fucker HIT you?"
