Nelly's POV

I walked away, avoiding them, and went straight to home room. I saw Alex walk with his friends and turn to look at me but i quickly walked away into the empty classroom. I took my seat in the back and lay my head on the table.

"ok you've got to tell me whats going on" i heard Natalie's voice as she entered the room to join me after a few minutes. I sighed heavily

"hey Natalie" i said groggily

"what's wrong with you?" she asked, taking a seat next to me "eversince yesterday when you left, you've been so gloomy"

"i don't want to talk about it" i said and she gasped, her eyes widening "what?" i asked

"you're pregnant aren't you?" she asked

"no" i said. Surprised

"yeah you are stop lying to me Nells" she said

"no i'm not!" i told her

"is it Alex's baby? I heard you two were getting busy in the school hallway yesterday after school" she said

"NO i didn't have sex with him!" i yelled "ugh" i groaned

"then what was Patricia talking abo...?"

"she lied ok!" i snapped "nothing happened"

"doesn't seem like it" she said

"well maybe things aren't what they seem like. They turn out the complete opposite" i said

"o.k?" she was confused but sensed something was wrong. The bell rang and we could hear people groan and start making their ways to homeroom "wanna wag? You don't look too good" she suggested with a concerned look on her face "in the mood you're in, you're probably going to say something mean and get in some deep trouble"

"you always know the best way" i said giving her a weak smile and getting up

"its a gift" she said shrugging and getting up too. She led to the door and we quickly ducked into the ladies room through the thick loud crowd. We climbed through the window and out onto the school roof, which was like a room without a roof. I settled on sitting on the ground and just staring into space to relax. Natalie came and sat next to me.

"so... wanna talk about it?" Natalie asked quietly

"i'm not sure" i said and immediately, tears came into my eyes, blurring my vision. She put her arms around me in comfort

"did he pressure you?" she asked

"no. He didn't do anything ok? It was Ben" i said

"wait, you had sex with Ben?" she asked
