I stepped out of the car and peered through the window. Jace was staring back at me a smile on his face, We looked like twins!

He rolled the window down and lent over the passenger seat. ‘See you tomorrow Marn’ he said blowing a kiss in my direction. I caught it like on one of those cheesy films. How cliche!

I Watched his car roll away down the path and started to walk towards the house. Hearing his car horn give a final bee as he drove away I gave a sigh.

I was just waiting for the lawnmower and the music form the boombox, My life is like an 80’s movie!I opened the front door still day dreaming, almost knocking over Bailey.

‘Watch were your going Mad Marnie’ he said giggling at me and skipping of in the direction of the kitchen. I froze at those two simple words. I haven’t heard those words in years and frankly I didn’t want to.

Thanks Jace, You know how to make a girl feel special! Well... Actually he does! After today he might just have shot at forgiveness. Just a shot, a tiny smidgen of opportunity. Anyway getting onto more serious things how did Bailey know that name?

Unless he had a time machine to travel back to when it happened I doubt he would know. I walked into the kitchen to see bailey playing with some lego blocks and humming to himself.

Crouching down to his level and dropping my bag on the floor I looked him straight in the eyes.He squirmed under my stare but eventually looked back at me.

‘Hey Hay Bail were did you hear that name?’ I asked curiously. Bailey looked over at Grace who was far to busy to pay attention to her son, Oh how busy it must life be as a stay at home mum! ‘Mum what’s for dinner?’ He asked her, getting completley of topic.

She rolled her eyes. ‘What do you think we have every night?’ Fist pumping in the air he grinned at me. ‘Yes, Taco’s for dinner! And I heard mummy say that name when she was talking to that boy next door.’

Raising an eyebrow at Grace I stood up at and leant on the counter. ‘Oh Really?’ I sighed looking in her direction. Dropping the knife she was cutting with she huddled over to Bailey.

‘Now what have I told you about listening to my conversations? And don’t worry Marnie, he simply asked if I had heard of the name. Obviously I haven’t and he explained the story to me.'
