Chapter 2

I open the door to my apartment, Kira jumps from her spot on the sofa welding a spoon in front of her as if it was a sword. "You ass!" She says as she falls back to the sofa, "You scared the shit out of me!" She growls as she returns to eating what looks like a bowl of cereal. I roll my eyes as I close the door behind me and walk to the table tossing my stuff down,

"I'm glad I only have a year and a half left." I huff as I walk over and sit next to Kira. She nudges me with her elbow and smiles over at me, "What?" I ask with a half smile.

"Your show tonight?" She says wiggling her eyebrows, "Not only do I want to be your special guest, again." She say reminding me of my job I had to be at in four hours. "And I'm bringing a friend." She says with a smirk, "And this time its a girl." I nod my head. Because Kira wasn't so good at choosing friends for me, either they were annoying girls or guys. And sometimes I believe she does it to get under my skin, but other parts of me think she only trying to get me a girlfriend so I'll be out of the house more because the last time I came home from class I walked in on Kira and her boyfriend of three years at the time doing the hanky-panky on the kitchen counter with whipped cream and a fly swatter. The horrid memories permanently sketched in my brain, I cringe at the thought.

"Oh and this time its a girl, and she's actually sane." She laughs as she stands to her feet. She reveals a serious expression, "You may now leave my presence I have a..." She clears her throat, "A friend coming and he- I mean she and I are going to have very close bonding time that I would hate for you to interrupt." I stand to my feet,

"Where am I going to go?" I ask, "I don't have to work for another couple hours and I still might not work tonight." I say with a huff. Kira glares at me and I then throw my hands up in defeat. "Fine!" I yell as I walk over to the apartment door, "You have my number if things get too... Serious and you want him out just give me a call." I say as I leave the room with the last word.

I close the door behind me and walk down the hallway and to the apartment elevator. I press the button to call the elevator. I lean up against the doors reading through my twitter timeline, Renee should be waking up anytime soon. I glance to the digital clock on the top of my phone 4:30 p.m. Yeah she'll be up in like two hours I assure myself.

I hear a ding and the doors fly open and I fall to my butt back into the elevator. I look up to see two beautiful girls one with long blonde hair and the other with fiery red hair curly and full, beautiful. I think as I stare deep into her green eyes. She holds out her hand and helps me to my feet, "Thanks." I say with a smile. "My name is Austin."

"We know." The red haired girl says with a giggle, cute. "My name is Leavy, but my friends call me El for short." She smiles over to the blonde girl who nods with a smile. It looks like they're having a conversation with facial expressions. "I'm new here and my friend Amanda here as been busy lately with school and hasn't had time to show my around." She says glance down to her face, "Maybe you can show me around?" She asks.

"I would love to!" I say with a smile. "What are you doing now?" I ask probably sounding a bit creepy,

"Nothing actually." She says with a giggle. "Amanda was going to her boyfriends apartment and I was heading to my own." The door opens and Amanda walks out leaving El and I alone,

"Would you like to walk around with me then?" I ask, "I can show you around and we can get to know eachother." I look down to my feet expecting a no for the answer. I look up to her almost with pleading eyes,

"I was hoping you were going to ask." She says with a smile. I turn around and press the button sending us to the lobby. The short ride down their was awkward and quiet but we didn't know each other. "How long have you been going here?" She ask breaking the silence as the elevator doors open to the lobby.
